  • "It's really difficult to write this review as the property was clean, tidy, had most things that we needed and matched the pictures."

However it really is as small as it looks in the pictures, there is very little storage space and there is very little privacy from other people staying on the site. The site is well kept but many properties have been demolished, leaving empty concrete bases and many others are empty, labelled to be demolished which detracts from the overall look of the site. The shelf in the fridge door needs fixing and a screen to put in front of the hot tub, the same as the chalets opposite would be good.

  • "The pictures are really deceiving as the place is a show box, not at all big enough for a family of 4."

There was no storage for food as cups and glasses took up most of the cupboard space. The bathroom shower screen is far too small so bathroom floor was always wet because water splashed everywhere, we had to mop the floor constantly and it never dried so we had to use towels to mop up the water. WiFi was non existent as it was shared with the chalet 20m away so the Netflix on the TV never worked as it should. TV had 4 channels and all BBC on it in the living area so we had to all squeeze on to the double bed to watch any tv as sky box was in that room. Walls had black damp and mold on them in the bedrooms so made us feel worried about spores while sleeping. Wardrobes where full of items so we could not get any clothes in them. If I'm being petty the coffee machine that was in the pictures wasn't in the chalet. Last of all the hot tub gave me and my youngest son a rash, my 6 year old still has it now two weeks later but it is going. It covered him from neck to toe and will happily provide pictures so we couldn't use that either, scum would build around the top of it on the bubbles. All in all not a place we would ever return to, it was clean apart from that and had most cooking items that was a nice touch so we could enjoy cooking most nights.

  • "Not cleaned to high "covid safe" standards."

Site rubbish problem, no collections and rubbish strewn across site. No excuse near to a local household waste centre

  • "Thank you for your service!"

I just feel I need to bring 2 suggestions to your attention: 1. Start heating in the lodge earlier on the day of our check-in times; if we would have felt warm inside, that would have been a more welcoming experience to us on a cold day like the 13th of April was. 2. A privacy board would be good if you build around the outside hot tub to cover it : this way you close direct view to it while we enjoy it with neighbours within the same yard; it gives that nice private feeling! Thank you!
