The property

Cedar Wood is a luxurious detached lodge resting in the pretty village of Llanbedr, in Snowdonia National Park.

Sleeping up to six guests over two floors, Cedar Wood is a superb base for a family trip to the North Wales coastline.

You are greeted to the property with off-road parking for two cars, on a private gravel drive, before you take a few steps up to the front decking which boasts a sought-after hot tub and furniture so guests can enjoy an evening under the stars as they recover from a long day.

Stepping into the property, there is a spacious open-plan living space where you can rustle up an evening meal in the kitchen to enjoy around the dining table as you toast to a wonderful holiday, or use the well-equipped kitchen to prepare a picnic to take to the beach, and once your tiring beach day is over, gather in front of the television as the sun goes down.

Also on the ground-floor there is a handy utility which has a washing machine and leads out to a ramp for those with limited mobility, as well as a bathroom which compliments the double bedroom which has a TV and plenty of storage, making ground-floor living possible and enjoyable.

Climbing upstairs, there are two en-suite bedrooms; a double with a TV and a balcony which is a gorgeous place to enjoy your morning coffee, and a twin.

Cedar Wood is surrounded by lodges, and is just a stone's throw away from handy local shops, bike hire opportunities, wildlife and mountain walks, as well as pubs and eateries for when you fancy an evening out.

Take a short drive into Harlech which is a small town, home to the 13th century World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle, a stunning six-mile sandy beach and the famous shoreside Royal St. David's golf course which is a popular spot for golfers.

In the opposite direction, Barmouth is a great spot for watersports on the beach or relaxing shoreside with a drink in one of the many bars, there is also a harbour offering ferry rides to Fairbourne or boat trips out to try out some mackerel fishing, and a scenic bridge with a wooden walkway offering sweeping views of the beach, river and surrounding hills.

For a unforgettable escape to this gorgeous part of North Wales, choose Cedar Wood as your base.

About the location

Harlech 3 miles; Barmouth 8 miles.

The pretty village of Llanbedr quietly nestles in ancient woodland between The Rhinogs, part of the Snowdonia Mountains, and the stunning golden beaches of the North Wales coastline. Situated next to the beautiful River Artro, and boasting a mild climate due to its unusual positioning behind the high dunes of a nature reserve, this charming village has an exciting array of wildlife and birds, handy local shops, bike hire and mountain walks on your doorstep, as well as two excellent pubs. The small town of Harlech is just 3 miles away and boasts the World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle, a majestic 13th century stronghold, the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I. Popular with golfers due to its famous Royal St. David's course, Harlech also boasts an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants and the most magnificent six-mile long sandy beach, perfect for wonderful walks and family fun. Nearby Barmouth offers the amazing Panorama Walk along the beautiful Mawddach Estuary, providing breathtaking vistas, which were described by John Ruskin as “the most sublime view in Europe” and also a harbour from which you can catch a ferry to Fairbourne for a ride on the miniature railway, or a boat trip out to sea to try mackerel fishing. With the delights of Snowdonia National Park and beautiful Cardigan Bay to discover, this is a fantastic holiday location at any time of the year.
