Large living rooms and bedrooms, beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished, it makes an ideal venue for large groups as it sleeps up to 14 people and has ample, modern bathrooms. The large kitchen is well-equipped and the adjacent Butlers pantry and Boot room are very useful storage areas. The separate dining room seats up to 14 round a large table. Outside there is a large decking area featuring ample seating, a welcome hot tub and a BBQ. The house is close to Barmouth and Harlech, with lots of interesting places to visit. An amazing large country house, ideal for our family reunion !

A spacious, comfortable and well equipped property ( maybe a lemon squeezer would be a good addition!) . Everything we needed for our multigenerational holiday. The 2 issues we had at the property, a problem with the hot tub and a sheep in adjoining field, were dealt with swiftly.

I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Plas y Bryn Hall and we do hope to see you again. You are right, the Lemon squeezer has gone walkabout! Thank you for letting me know, I will get another one. Property Owner

  • "This is a lovely house and perfect for our large family group of three generations."

Good sized well equipped kitchen and three other rooms on the ground floor in which to spread out. Bedrooms roomy and comfortable, bathrooms plentiful and well fitted out. Plenty of hot water. Great location, the house was very private and quiet, yet close to shops, pubs etc. Lovely safe garden, loads to do in the area. We paid for the hot tub and really made good use of it. The decking area was a real sun trap. Even better if: There were no oven gloves - not sure if this was an oversight or due to covid, but as we did lots of cooking it was inconvenient. Not all bathrooms had a bath mat, also inconvenient. We could have done with bigger mugs as we are all big tea drinkers. The heating was turned off, and we had no control of it. As it got quite cool in the week, the property became cold. We did contact the managers who set it to come on briefly, but it seemed inadequate and we had no control of it to allow us to respond the the changing temperatures. These comments are meant for constructive feedback and were overall minor. We had a great holiday and we would recommend this property.

  • "Just home after an amazing holiday at Plas Y Bryan Hall, myself, 3 sons, 3 daughters in law and 7 grandchildren ages 4-13."

The house and grounds are just stunning and gave the children so much freedom and space to enjoy whilst being completely safe. The new addition of a hot tub was the icing on the cake add a fire pit to toast marshmallows and everyone was happy. The 7 bed rooms were delightful and with bathrooms for all. Plenty indoor space for cosy film nights by the fire and a snug for the children, we loved the kitchen table and the formal dining room. So much to do close by with highlights being a very early climb up Snowdon, forest sledging and bouncing in a slate mine! and a trip by walking to Llanbedr station for the train, then miniature railway and boat to Barmouth. Beaches quiet and stunning. Everything was perfect I can’t recommend the house high enough, we’ve already booked for next year. Sharon & family.

It’s wonderful that you had such a lovely holiday with us in North Wales. We maybe biased but we believe it is a really special place! I am so happy you are returning to stay with us next year. There is still so much in Snowdonia for you to see! Property Owner

We found it very well-equipped and it coped with all our our wet walking gear, thanks to some pretty inclement weather! The position is stunning and is a great base to explore beautiful Gwynedd from. It was easy to get to Criccieth, Portmeirion, Harlech, Barmouth and of course, many stunning walks, waterfalls and beaches! We would love to return. Thank you

  • "As we drove up to Plas Bryn Hall it was one of those WOW!"

moments. The house, gardens and views took our breath away. Our family group of 14, ages raging from 65 to 9 months had a great stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all of a very high standard. Lots of period features throughout the house. The decking area gets the sun all day and the most stunning sunsets in the evening. The 6 children enjoyed exploring the gardens. They had great fun. Lots of extra touches in house for children with books Duplo set games both electronic and board games. Although great weather so they had a screen free week. Just a note to any one who orders a shopping delivery. Their sat navs take them to an entirely different place down the road. Luckily the driver phoned us so we could direct him. Lots of things to do around the area too. We would definitely come back again.

The house is stunning inside and out with fabulous views and the most amazing sunsets. The bedrooms are furnished beautifully and the bathrooms are modern and extremely well done. The facilities are beyond what I expected, every kitchen gadget you could need, plenty of crockery and cutlery, multiple fridges. The tv with surround sound is perfect for movie nights in and there is plenty to choose from with sky, Netflix and many others provided. The children also loved having the PlayStation, WII, and various board games to choose from. The outside deck has fabulous views and gets the sun all day. The village of Llanbedr is a 5 minute walk and has great pubs which all do good food. A visit to shell island and Harlech castle both nearby are a must. Such a wonderful place, we hope to be back in the future.

  • "Fascinating house, great location and base for exploring."

Tranquil setting within farmland yet a short stroll down the hill into village with small shop and places to eat. We were a family group of 6 and the house can comfortably accommodate many more with plenty of space to spread out in the downstairs rooms. The bedrooms are lovely, each with their own character and the bathrooms are modern and spotless. This is a very large but very homely property. The house overlooks an airfield - but don’t be put off as the only activity we saw was a few small prop planes take off and land on a couple of days - probably flight lessons. Charming rather than offensive. Amazing accessible beaches are minutes away by car. Local walks from house up the wooded valley to waterfalls or towards the sea through salt marsh are well worth it. Or for the more adventurous the mountains and trail bike routes beckon. Harlech and Barmouth are well worth a visit and that view from the bridge at Barmouth truly is sublime as were the sunsets from the main decked seating area. A great destination with something for everyone.

The property

Plas Y Bryn Hall is a large, detached Edwardian residence set in 1.5 acres of grounds and landscaped gardens within the Snowdonia National Park.

It occupies an enviable position with superb views over Cardigan Bay towards the Llyn Peninsula, and to the surrounding Snowdon and Rhinog ranges.

This excellently maintained period residence is the perfect place for friends, groups and large extended families to get together and create memories that you'll be able to take away and treasure.

The impressive hall welcomes you in and you are immediately drawn to the original parquetry hardwood flooring, in addition to superb ornamental plaster corbels and cornice ceiling roses. Access to the first floor is given via an exquisite staircase, featuring barley sugar turned balusters, mahogany hand rails, newel posts and hand-carved mahogany embellishments.

A large half landing acts as the perfect stop-gap and offers views over the surrounding countryside and coastline beyond.

The two principle rooms at the front of the property offer a range of period features and enjoy far-reaching views over Cardigan Bay towards the Llyn Peninsula.

The sitting room enjoys original egg and dart plaster cornice, a magnificent ceiling rose, arched recess with a lovely fireplace and wood-burning stove, whilst the dining room offers original marquetry wood peripheral flooring throughout with geometric and Fleur de lys insets of various woods.

The children’s TV and games room is sure to be a hit with the younger members of the group and the downstairs art deco-style cloakroom with basin and WC is there for guest’s convenience.

The kitchen is well appointed with a cooking Range and breakfast table and chairs, and the utility/boot room with its own wood-burning stove is an ideal place for drying clothes.

Upstairs, this impressive first-floor landing offers superb ornamental plaster shell motifs to the ceiling, mounted in a full-length dome on dome recess.

Four individually styled bedrooms and two bathrooms take up the entire first floor. The spacious master bedroom with a super king-size and en-suite facilities, enjoys wonderful views, as does the king-size room and the main family bathroom has an exquisite free-standing bath taking centre stage with views towards Snowdon!

On the upper floors of the property, which originally were the servant’s quarters, are three further bedrooms; all enjoying far reaching views over Cardigan Bay, surrounding countryside and mountains, and two well-appointed shower rooms.

Outside, there is ample parking and Plas Y Bryn Hall sits comfortably within tranquil grounds extending to about 1.5 acres.

The outdoor space has been well thought out with landscaped areas, a pond and three decked seating areas, providing great vantage points where you can enjoy far reaching panoramic views, and magnificent sunsets over Cardigan Bay and the Llyn Peninsula beyond.

The village of Llanbedr has shops and three pubs, as well as offering bike hire, mountain and river walks and is situated next to the dunes of a nature reserve and so a wide variety of birds and wildlife can be seen.

To the south both the resorts of Barmouth and Fairbourne are within easy reach, with traditional seaside amusements and excellent shopping and restaurants.

Just three miles to the North is the town of Harlech, with its magnificent World Heritage Castle, spectacular beach, Royal St Davids golf course and delightful shops and cafes.

Continue on past Harlech and you will reach the pretty Italianate village of Portmeirion, famous for “The Prisoner” TV series or Porthmadog with it’s marina and heritage railways.

In fact the whole of the National Park can be easily accessed with its many walking, cycling and horse riding routes, and the many peaks in the Snowdon range, or take the railway or climb to the top of Mount Snowdon itself!

The house is ideally located for exploring all of North Wales’ adventure activities including Zip World and King Arthurs Labyrinth or for a whole host of water sports including coasteering, kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing.

This really is a superb base for exploring North Wales, to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings or as a place to celebrate that special occasion
