  • "Great place."

Location can't be beaten and swam everyday or body boarded. Brilliant how much you have in such a small kitchen. Very comfy beds and warmed up quickly. Log fire easy to use to. It was lovely hearing the waves all day and night and unspoiled views. Drying lots of wet kit was hard when it rained and we felt the little half garage room might be better used as washing/ drying and possibly a wet room when coming back from the beach. Could not fault it over all and all had a great stay.

) Due to no wifi we take a netflix stick with us to watch movies or cartoons for the kids ( from phone hotspot ) when we dont go out, but for what we pay to stay PLEASE update the TV 32" or better.

  • "As an older visitor, I was not happy with the overbath shower."

There wasn't a handrail and the safety bathmat was quite short so I felt unsafe getting in and out of the bath for a shower. The only other comment I would make is that the property badly needs a larger TV, and in poor weather (which unfortunately we had!) sky TV and WiFi would have been good to have. Otherwise it's very well equipped and has very comfortable beds, and the views are lovely.

We return every year to enjoy the fabulous views, easy access to the beach and the peaceful garden. The lower garden hedge means you can enjoy the views even on a stormy day. The house is warm, clean and well-equipped for 6 people. We had a fantastic week.

  • "We really love this property and keep returning however the only thing we would like to see change is that for the price we pay per week we feel that the lounge TV should be larger as it is so small it is difficult to view and also wi-fi would be good too."

It does not cost that much now to get a cheap minimum 36 inch screen. A four slice toaster would be better too as if 6 people stopping takes forever to make toast for everyone.

We were so lucky with the weather for saying it was 2nd week of November. My brother and sister in law stay regularly and also love it. The position of Alt y mor is perfect with the steps down on to the beach . It was very Cosy and listening to the waves while sitting quietly was so relaxing. We had a good clean round before we left to leave it as we found it . Think we will book again next year! Thankyou for letting us stay in your beautiful holiday home .

Absolutely ideal for dog-owners who love sea views and walks. Good parking. It had every tiny thing we wanted. It was really clean when we got there and we cleaned up well before we left - there was plenty of stuff to enable us to do that.

  • "We have stayed at Allt y mor for over 40 years and obviously love the location."

However I have emailed you whilst we were there to complain about the state of the oven and baking trays which were foul, greasy and needed washing before I could do anything, no cleaning materials are provided ( one jay cloth for kitchen and bathroom).I don’t expect to go on a holiday and clean ovens. Hoover was full, no new bags and stank. The house rental charge needs to be reflected in the cleaning of facilities. We love Allt y Mor but feel let down

Please accept our apologies that the house was not up to its usual high standards. Looking into this, we discovered that our regular cleaner was unable to clean that week and the temporary replacement cleaner failed to fulfil expectations. Our regular cleaner is now back on duty and will ensure the house is kept to its usual high standard in the future. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we hope you will return to enjoy Allt-y-mor again. Property Owner

The location is stunning and so convenient for quick access to the beach. The house itself has everything we need for the perfect escape- especially the absence of Wi-Fi! The new sofa and large fridge were a welcome addition this year. The house is always clean and fresh And every room is homely. The garage is handy for bikes and paddle boards too. Another great week- already looking forward to next year.

The location is superb- views from every window, lovely garden where we spent hours watching dolphins and herons, painted the light changing on the sea. The house is well laid out clean and tasteful and even the lack of wi fi was made up for by the views. Very small kitchen but well provided with equipment etc. The lack of heating wasn’t a problem in June but may be more tricky in winter , though the log burner did a good job on the cooler evenings. All together great and I could imagine myself living there and spending my days watching the changing light across the bay.

The cottage could be described as fairly basic but not in a negative way. It has everything we needed, lots of kitchen equipment and tableware. Clear instructions for heating, hot water and the like. It was clean and fresh and homely. The beds were amazing and the duvets so luxurious! I love that there is no WiFi - a real benefit to more involved family time haha! The garden’s direct access to the beach was perfect and the cafe a few minutes walk away was excellent and welcoming. The Victoria Inn in Llanbedr was great too. Definitely recommend the Wales Coast Walk for some stunning scenery and lovely gentle walking! Loved our stay and would happily return.

The pictures do not do justice to the stunning views from the main room and the bedrooms; the sunsets were incredible. The house is really well appointed, and was spotlessly clean. We found the bed very comfortable, especially after the long walks (Snowdon and Cader Idris are both less than one hour away). The house is also well positioned for visits to the great castles of North Wales, and we discovered some wondeful restaurants and pubs within a 15 minute drive. The wood burning stove and heaters ensured that we were very warm throughout our stay. We would unhesitatingly recommend Allt y Mor and cannot wait to return.

  • "Allt y mor was excellent for us."

Its position right on the coast meant you could just hear and watch the sea from the comfort of the house. We love all wildlife and it was fantastic to see many seabirds and seals through the window. Direct access to the beach was great for swimming or walking on the beach. There are also many great walks in the hills behind Llandanwg and Harlech which was great for us and the dogs. Cannot really fault the position of the property. The bungalow itself was good and fine for the two of us plus 2 dogs. I find beds in most holiday let's uncomfortable but the double bed at Ally y mor was comfortable and I did not wake up with a bad back, a real bonus for me. We did have a couple of cold days but with plenty of electric heaters and log burner we were warm enough. Just a couple of negatives. We got very wet twice and nowhere to dry clothes. The kitchen was OK for us but may be small for six, also chipped mugs and plates. The extra sitting area/end of garage smelled musty and looked grubby we did not use. Place could of been cleaner but expect that as dogs allowed. All in all we loved it and would definitely book again.
