  • "What an amazing property!"

Immaculately clean with everything you’d need. The views are absolutely stunning, we never got tired of sitting looking out at them. Hot tub was a big hit with us all. It was lovely being able to collect fresh eggs from the chickens each day, and we loved meeting and feeding the alpacas! The hosts Carol and David were so lovely and were there if we needed them. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Dear Sam and family, Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and we are delighted that you all enjoyed your stay with us here at Plas Robin! It was wonderful to introduce the boys to the alpacas and pleased you had fun collecting the eggs each morning too! Best wishes to you all and hope we can welcome you again one day! Plas Robin was straight forward to find - the post code takes you directly there which is always a comfort after a long drive. Ty Hiraeth was better than our expectations (which were already high!), the views were magnificent and the property was spacious and spotless on arrival. There was everything we needed to have a more than comfortable stay and provided the perfect base for exploring some of mid Wales. Carol and David the hosts were lovely and welcoming, and happy to help with anything when needed. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

The lodge was the best we had stayed in and we have stayed in many. From the well equipped kitchen to the very tasteful decor all extremely high class. The owners were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. I have got to mention the eggs from their very free range hens the best I have tasted in many a year. We will certainly be returning in the future for a relaxing break in this beautiful location. Thank you all at plas robin rural Retreats.

  • "This is a stunning property in a truly rural setting."

If you’re looking for a truly peaceful and tranquil setting this is the place to go. From the moment you walk into the lodge, you can see the love and effort that has been put into it. It was immaculately clean. The fixtures & furnishings are comfortable and high end. The underfloor heating was lovely as was the log burner. The beds were nice and comfortable. And the bonus of a hot tub. All surrounded by farmers fields. Being able to watch the sheep and the very free range chickens, and being able to collect some fresh eggs was just so relaxing. Carol and Dave the hosts are very friendly and welcoming, they can’t help you enough with any questions and there’s a brilliant where to go and what to do guide which we found very helpful. If it’s not in that lodge you honestly don’t need it! Oh… and the WiFi signal is fantastic! Always a bonus for us. Can’t wait to go back x

So glad that you enjoyed your stay and I know you were very much ready for this break ....so glad you left rejuvenated. Look forward to seeing you both again and more egg collection adventures !! • "Such a beautiful lodge with stunning views!"

Carol, David and the family are so lovely and accommodating and gave us some amazing suggestions on places to go and things to do. Our Son loved waking up every day and visiting the bottom of the hill to help with the chickens and to play with Meg the dog. The lodge felt like a second home, so comfortable and beautifully decorated and the hot tub was a lovely touch overlooking the fields, perfect with a glass of wine for the end of a busy day entertaining the little ones. It was just the break we needed as a family, we’re already looking to book again!

  • "The setting of the Lodge would take some beating, it really is stunning, unfortunately we had really poor weather, which was a pity!"

There is a much appreciated Hot Tub to sit in and admire the beautiful views, day and night! There is also a BBQ and outdoor seating area, which unfortunately we didn’t get chance to use because of the weather! The interior of the Lodge is outstanding, colour schemes, quality of all the furnishing and because of floor to ceiling windows it’s also lovely and bright! The main area is spacious, a well equipped open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge, fire is very effective if you need to use it! Nice surprise of a Welcome Hamper, which is a lovely touch and much appreciated! The owners are very welcoming and helpful! I would certainly recommend this Lodge to anyone, it will take some beating!

The chalet is beautiful, comfortable and the views outstanding. The hot tub is an obvious highlight but the small touches are just as important such as the range of kitchen staples supplied including fresh bread and homemade preservatives, as well as extra bedding and lovely towels. Carole, the host is so welcoming and accommodating and we all appreciated our break in the Welsh hills so much. Thank you Carole and family!

  • "I cannot recommend a stay at Ty Hiraeth enough!"

The property is perfectly appointed with all the modern comforts you could ask for in an idyllic country setting that is perfect for relaxing and recharging. We loved cooking on the bbq, enjoying a glass of wine in the hot tub, playing with the family dogs, watching the sun set over the rolling hills, collecting eggs from the hens in the mornings, and exploring the beautiful areas nearby. Carol and David are so welcoming and truly thought of every detail to make the cottage special and comfortable. We stayed here for a week and split time between completely unplugging and working from home, so I can also confirm that the wifi connection is great - just as strong as at the office! This is honestly one of the best rental properties we’ve ever stayed in and we cannot wait to return!

This has an exceptionally pleasant view down two valleys, it doesn't matter if it's raining or sunny, it's just lovely to sit and look... red kites flying below, sheepdogs rounding up the sheep, rainbows... a truly incredible place to stay, regardless of the season.

It is something you have to experience for yourself. It was a wonderful holiday and so much to do and see. Will book again for next year. It wasn't noticeable that COVID is going on except for the obvious face masks wearing etc. The facilities were first class definitely 5 star.

We stayed here for my boyfriends 30th birthday in October and they could not help enough! Carole and Dave went above and beyond in making our stay extra extra special and could not thank them enough! I was in talks with Carol for about 2 weeks before our stay helping me organise decorations and a birthday cake which was gorgeous! I am so happy we found this hidden gem and definitely making this our yearly trip! Meg and Mia are absolutely adorable and can’t help but have a soft spot for Meg especially when she was always outside our door and we loved playing fetch with them, I even bought myself a cup like Meg and use it everyday! The views are unreal and the hot tub is fantastic there is no place like it and we can’t wait for our next visit. Thanks Carole and Dave ❤️
