  • "Great stay."

Owner was very welcoming. Always a phone call away if we needed help. Can get over how big the property was. Lovely bbq area. The games room was also a place we spend a lot of our time. The only thing that we could say is that the hot tubs took a very long time to heat up with constant fire wood, so we could not enjoy the hot tubs until late evening.

  • "Stayed here as a large family/friends groups with children ranging from under 1 to teenagers."

Enough space to accommodate everyone. Kids loves games room. Any problems we had the owner was straight over to review. Hot tubs could do with having covers/lids to keep clean and would of been nice to have been filled and started to heat before we got there as they take a while to get to a good temperature. Overall lovely stay for 2 nights.

  • "Hot tub cleanliness needed attention."

On a working farm which was fine except the huge pile of cow manure very close to the house which meant a huge number of flies in the kitchen. Very limited pieces of cooking equipment such as oven trays/saucepans and those there were too small considering the size of the house and the number of people being catered for. Outside drain blocked Wifi went down on day 2 and was not fixed throughout our stay

About the location

Welshpool 8 miles.

The town of Llanfair Caereinion is built upon the site of an old Roman fort, in the valley of the River Banwy. It is a thriving town built around The Church of St Mary, with a Post Office, two supermarkets, and a selection of three different pubs. The annual Llanfair Caereinion Carnival is very popular with locals, and proceeds through the town with a full parade of floats and dancing troupes, providing a Rio carnival atmosphere. There is a river walk along the banks of the Banwy leading to an Arboretum, containing over 25 different species of British trees, an ideal place to explore before stepping back in time and jumping on the start of the narrow gauge heritage steam railway that runs 8.5 miles west to Welshpool. Welshpool nestles into the upper reaches of the picturesque Severn Valley near the border between Wales and England. This bustling market town is surrounded by rolling hills and glorious unspoilt countryside. There's a unique blend of shops offering arts & crafts, fashion & leisure, fresh produce, and quality pubs and restaurants, as well as the town centre’s restored cock fighting pit and interesting Heritage Trail. Visit the famous 13th Century Powis Castle, and the renowned Dingle Gardens. Enjoy a cruise in the summer sun along the Montgomery Canal or glorious walks and bike rides along National walking trails and the Offa’s Dyke Pathway.
