Very peaceful and rural. There is everything you need to feel like home, spacious and well organised. Great base to discover middle and East Wales or just simply recharge your batteries in tranquil and peaceful surroundings. The hosts Helen and son Ryan are lovely and helpful, provided really nice welcome pack with Welsh cakes and bottle of local milk. We had great time and really recommend this property. Thank you

  • "This place is a little gem if you wish to get away from it all."

It is on a sheep farm in the middle of nowhere so if you are looking for a place close to amenities this may not be the place for you as you do need to travel to places. The cottage itself is so well equipped and Helen goes out of her way to make sure on arrival you have everything you need. So far as to providing milk tea coffee and biscuits on arrival. Even washing up liquid cloths and brush. Hairdryer an iron. There is a little shop which we enjoyed walking to with the dog - round trip takes about 30 - 40 minutes depending how fast you walk and provides essentials ( no newspapers though). Lampeter is good for the Co-op you can get everything you need here.(Takes about 15 minutes to drive there). O My Cod is a really good chip shop and the Nags Head pub is dog friendly. Small menu choice but excellent quality, reasonable priced and there is something on there to suit everyone. A walk after tea to the river is nice to do (wellies adived) good views of the Red Kites flying overhead. And there are a couple of nature reserves nearby, one within walking distance from the cottage. Cors Caron National Nature Reserve near Tregaron is dog friendly. It is a place I would definitely visit again.

  • "Cottage in a lovely setting , very private."

Met by Helen the owner who explained everything to us, she was very helpful but not intrusive. Kitchen had everything you need apart from dishwasher, gardens were lovely very private and well kept, beds comfy. Shower hit and miss with water pressure, we had no water at all for two days due to a burst water main but Helen did everything she could to help, keeping us informed and bringing us bottled water. The roads to the cottage off main Lampeter road are hair raising as most are single track . All in all we had a lovely week

  • "We loved our relaxing stay at this comfortable cottage."

We felt really at home and it was perfect for our short walking break with our 2 dogs. There were several great walks right from the door so it is perfect if you just want to walk and relax. Lampeter is only 4.5 miles away and has great pubs and takeaways . There is also a Sainsburys for supplies. We walked there through a forest walk , had a lovely lunch and walked back. The family are really welcoming and at hand if you needed anything but respected our privacy. The coast is about 35-40 mins drive so accessible for days out. The cottage had all the things we needed and the kitchen was well equipped. The garden was particularly beautiful and had a brilliant outside space to eat as the weather was good. I would recommend This cottage for anyone with dogs but would also be great for children. Thank you Helen David and Ryan for a really great break .

Helen made us welcome and even left us some milk and welsh cakes. The bungalow is safe for children and dogs as it is completely enclosed. We were to have been a family of 5 but with the restrictions prior to our stay it ended up only two. We had a lovely week , so restful and relaxing. Hopefully all 5 of us will be able to stay there next year.

  • "This bungalow is comfortable but a little dated."

The furniture and fittings are well used but as this is a dog friendly premises it does mean that you aren't too worried about them making a mess. The garden is lovely and completely enclosed so no problem with the dogs getting out. The weather was perfect the week we were there which meant we were able to use the outdoor seating area. The bathroom has a walk in shower area (wet room) it could do with a grab rail or sit on stool for people who have mobility restrictions.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that we omitted to offer you a stool for the shower during your stay. However, for future reference you will be pleased to know that a stool is available on request. Kind Regards, The Property Owner Property Owner

  • "A very comfortable and homely cottage/bungalow and we very much enjoyed our stay in beautiful countryside."

Very accommodating and friendly owners Helen and David, and a lovely garden surrounding the property all fenced off (great if you have a pet with you) with easy parking in front of the cottage off the farm track. Large kitchen, well equipped. The bathroom is good as it has a walk in shower as well as a bath option, ideal for various peoples' needs. Comfortable lounge plus sunny conservatory. Cannot fault it in any way. We will definitely recommend it to others for a relaxing get-away but easy to get to various parts of the coastline which are also worth a visit if you haven't been in this area before. Do pay a visit to Cardigan, and take the Gwbert road off the main street which runs alongside the Teify river right to the end of that road where you will see the entrance to the Cliff Hotel in front of you - it's on the headland - magic.

The elder is in her final year of A Levels and had planned to study on her lap top. But shock, horror, there was no WIFI in the cottage. Mrs Jenkins, in her own words in the Welcoming Notes, she cannot afford WiFi in the cottage and in her house. One is allowed to stand outside her house to use the facility, which is quite unacceptable!

Thank you for your feedback. This property now has WiFi in the property. Property Owner
