“It would be beneficial to publish a picture of the cottage from the road as well as put a name on the gate to inform people that they had arrived at the house.”

Luckily we arrived during daylight so although there was a little confusion we had time to look for the property. The house was spacious and true to the pictures on the website, it was stocked with household items that you may forget. The large stock of plates and glasses was useful and the pans/dishes were excellent for cooking throughout the week just as I would at home. We would have found a welcome pack with information about the local area, facilities and how to work the central heating etc useful. In this you could have included instructions about how to leave the property e.g. whether you wanted the bedding stripped etc. There was also no access to a vacuum/mop/brush which we would have liked to have used before we left and during the week to keep on top of the cleaning, there was a dustpan a brush which we used to clean up as best as we could as the week went along. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, it was incredibly peaceful, just what we wanted!

About the location

Oswestry 9 miles; Welshpool 10 miles; Shrewsbury 20 miles

A pleasant, historical village in Powys, close to the England-Wales border. Lansantffraidd is a scenic village with evidence of life in Roman times and from 2400BC. It has the River's Cain and Vyrnwy running through it. Offa's Dyke is just 5km away. Llansantffraidd used to be the home of Welsh giants TNS F.C, however no longer is. It has two good eating pubs, two mini markets and takeaways, it offers a good amount for a small village. The delightful Welshpool is a short drive away, as is the market town of Shrewsbury which is worth the visit.
