I got a bit lost it’s not visible when driving 60 on that road there should be a bigger sign across the road to say that’s where it is or something so it’s more visible

  • "Hazel Lodge was perfect!"

Quiet location and beautiful surroundings. The lodge itself was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot-tub was an extra bonus after day trips out walking. Communication with the staff was easy although we didn't need to contact them much as everything was already ready and there. Would recommend and definitely return!

  • "Lovely lodge in a relaxing location."

Lodge was surprisingly big inside, the pictures don’t do it justice. The lodge was very clean apart from the kitchen island which seemed sticky, however understandably easy to miss. The local village was lovely, pub served great food with friendly locals making for a great atmosphere. Facilities within the lodge were great, tv and wifi easy to use. The only downfall was the hot tub was not available for us to use straight away, even with a late check in. And more information should be given earlier about the opening times of shop in the village as we had come empty handed and the shop was shut before we arrived. 15 mile drive until the next open shop.

Very clean, well kitted out and with lovely decor and a delightful welcome basket. The views were great and the hot tub absolutely perfect. Something has to be said for star gazing while in the hot tub - just amazing. The owners were very friendly and attentive and went above and beyond for us. We had the most relaxing time in a long while and would definitely return. Really enjoyed it! Thank you again

  • "The lodge is beautiful, the back drop when you are outside is fabulous."

The owner was very efficient as we struggled to find the property. However we would say the facilities weren’t very good. We weren’t provided toilet roll and dishwasher tablets but once we told the owner she dropped both off straight away. The kitchen facilities are great but could do with some sharper knives and maybe more utensils like mixing bowls and glass cups. Only other problem we found was some of the beds were uncomfortable you could feel the springs through it. Other than those small issues the place is very snug and perfect for a short get away.

  • "Absolutely loved our week here."

Was pleasantly surprised when we arrived as it seemed bigger than it looks in the photos. Couldn't fault the cleanliness. We went as a 2 but definitely think it wouldn't have felt cramped if there had of been 4. The icing on the cake was definitely the hot tub. Looking at the stunning views across the field from the hot tub, I just can't fault it. A few bits of constructive criticism though would be the bins being so close to the windows - as it was so hot we had to open the windows and lots of flys from around the bins made their way inside - so maybe move the location of the bins? To really top off the week, having a parasol over the hot tub and a fan for the inside would've helped as it was 28.5 degrees without the heating on. Small negatives aside it was an amazing week, really relaxing break that we needed!

We had two holidays cancelled in the space of a year so this was just what we needed. The lodge was amazing, had all the mod-cons that you need, dishwasher and even a washing machine if your staying longer than a few days. The views are amazing and especially from the hot tub during sunset. Listening to the lambs calling as the sun was setting just added that extra little something. We will definitely be back and this time with family. We might need more lodges though :) Would definitely recommend.

Everything was spotless and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and affords spectacular views over the countryside. The hot tub is a lovely extra and the owners checked it everyday to ensure the PH levels were correct and it was clean. The largest local town i- Llanidloes is a 10 minute drive and has plenty of pubs as well as a Coop and a Spar supermarket. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
