  • "Isolation of the cottage great."

Just a few things to let it down. Broken guttering meaning water from rain pouring out, blocked drain so washing up water didn't flow away properly. It appears the dishwasher wasn't working half used tablet from previous occupant still in it and didn't work when we tried, no instructions in kitchen drawer. Information folder needs updating some of the info months out of date. Freezer needs defrosting couldn't open top compartment. All that said we enjoyed ourselves and it served it's purpose of moving daughter into university for her final year..

  • "Lovely property in a peaceful spot surrounded by the hills."

Lots of room in the accommodation. Clean and tidy. Everything we needed was supplied in the kitchen. The only one thing that took some getting used to was the shower. We always got it hot in the end but sometimes that was a bit by trial and error! Would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

  • "The property is quite remote and it took us a few days to get our bearings and understand the best routes to get to various places but that shouldn’t detract from the accommodation which was excellent."

The garden enclosure was great for our dogs and they thoroughly enjoyed the space. The WiFi signal was vey good and meant that we were able to stream and use various devices with ease. The facilities were also excellent and most essentials are provided. There aren’t many shops and pubs in the immediate vicinity so a car is essential but we enjoyed our break.

  • "Absolutely lovely cottage with amazing views."

It's a car drive to anywhere even a shop but if your like us and don't mind this, it's a beautiful place to stay. The only down side we found, we were unable to eat outside due to flies but the scenery and accommodation was fantastic especially for the dogs.

  • "Had a very enjoyable stay."

The cottage is well equipt with every thing that you would need. Had those nice touches which made it homely. Very suited for families who like to get away from all the pressures of modern day life. A nice play area for children. The smart TV was vey handy to keep up with your favorite TV shows when it suited you. The only criticism we have is the lack of a handle on the over bath shower as it is not that easy to get out of the shower.

  • "When we first got the property it was exactly what we wanted."

It's been updated since the pictures we saw which was lovely. To be in the countryside with Sheep surrounding us was just quiet and relaxing. We had a bit of trouble with boiler not working so we called the owners who got someone out to check the gas etc within an hour it was working again. Nothing was too much for them. It was an amazing stay and we will be booking again in the future.

  • "Generally, a lovely place to stay & was very comfortable and homely."

Everything was there to make our stay great. Towels for everyone, hairdryer and a nice welcome book too! On the downside, In the front room, a more thorough vacuum was needed, right to the edges, there were some cobwebs and dead spiders in it. The blind in the bathroom looked like it needed replacing and the hoover needed unclogging to vacuum properly. The views were fantastic, the fire was beautiful, and the farmers we met, were friendly and happy to chat.

Lovely and secluded just as we like it. Kids and both dogs loved the garden to run around and play and we enjoyed a coffee sat on the bench looking across the hills and all the wildlife. We have booked to go back in August.

  • "This cottage at first appearance is very nice and decorated to a good standard with new kitchen, however the cottage is suffering from rising damp and damp in general."

There was rising damp in the living room and damp running down the external stair wall at times. The bedroom window surrounds were damp and mouldy. A few times when getting into bed we found that the bed was damp. Yes the garden is lovely with amazing views and money has been spent on the cottage but unfortunately in the wrong places. If the damp issues were addressed this would be a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Overall we were disappointed after reading the good reviews.

The house is beautiful, cozy, fitted to a high spec, clean and really welcoming. Our kids loved the enclosed garden, as did the dog! We enjoyed meeting the sheep and the local area is stunning. Despite the grey weather and rain, we had a wonderful week walking, exploring and occasionally warming up by gorgeous fire. We would definitely recommend this cottage :-)

It is a little rustic but well presented, The tranquility and views are amazing. The kids loved meeting the lambs and bullocks in the adjoining fields. We visited beaches from Aberdovey and Ynyslas down to Llangrannog and Mwnt. We also swam in the river close by in Llanilar and took the Rheidol steam train from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge. A great week!

The location is amazing. The view from the garden in nice weather is amazing and there are plenty of good walks and cycle rides from the cottage door. We have a dog and even though the cottage is in sheep country, the cottage worked brilliantly with an enclosed garden and front yard.

  • "Lovely farmhouse, tastefully decorated."

Beautiful, remote location. Do need to drive, wouldn't be able to walk anywhere and no nearby shops. Scenery simply beautiful. Track off road to house a bit tricky for average cars due to deep wheel channels, but we worked a way of driving to one side to avoid scraping the bottom of the car. Well equipped and comfortable - a real 'get away from it all' break. Garden a fabulous size although weather prevented us from sitting out. Good location for touring around and we visited places such as Newquay, Aberaeron, Borth, Aberystwyth and beautiful Aberdovey. We enjoyed lots of walking in this beautiful part of Wales.

It was more like a hotel with the provision of towels, tea towels, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and welcoming welsh cakes. Really nice lawn area for youngsters to play in. It was fantastically clean and the lady we met made us very welcome. We loved the remoteness and, as farmers, we were in our element surrounded by sheep and cattle. It was so quiet and dark. Excellent for star gazing. Good area to walk in and explore. Brilliant views. We loved it. Many thanks to the owners.

Without doubt this was the best welcome we have ever experienced when stopping in rented accommodation. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was spotlessly clean. We met the farmer who was a really nice man and very friendly and welcoming. One helpful thing for dog owners would be the location of nearby dog walks.
