An ideal base to make the most of a truly special area within the Cambrian Mountains, perfect for friends and family who are looking for nearby access to fantastic countryside with all the benefits of a busy rural town.

Set over three floors, there are three comfortable bedrooms, one being an attic room with en-suite shower room and a family bathroom.

There is a modern well-equipped kitchen with dining area leading onto a comfy seating area, perfect to relax in front of the TV before heading out for a bite to eat.

Outside, you can sit in the lawned garden where you can enjoy an early morning coffee and perhaps decide which one of the delightful cafes to pop to on your way out exploring.

A few minutes’ walk gets you into the delightful bustling town itself with lovely cafes and eateries to enjoy a leisurely lunch or evening meal.

The River Wye meanders through the town, opening up fabulous days of river walks, fishing or simply sitting and relaxing.

You are ideally placed to enjoy the stunning Elan Valley, a series of interconnecting Victorian dams and reservoirs, impressive industrial structures with a passive beauty surrounded by a picturesque landscape rich in wildlife, flora and fauna, as well as a chance to sit back and enjoy the areas dark sky status.

The area offers numerous outdoor activities with beautiful walks and cycle trails along the river, local footpaths and surrounding nature reserves and the stunning Cambrian Mountain range, river fishing and horse riding.

You are less than 15 miles from Builth Wells, home of the Royal Welsh Showground, making this a perfect place to retreat to after enjoying a day in one of the many busy annual events held there.

Alternatively for a complete change of scene, why not head for a day to the Victorian seaside resort of Aberystwyth, less than an hours’ drive away, maybe taking time to visit Nant yr Arian and watch the majestic spectacle of the Red Kites being fed, visit the silver mines or take a trip on the steam railway to the slightly mystical Devils Bridge and waterfalls.
