Everything you need for a chill out time. Hosts were excellent. Special thanks for the emergency food when the Morrisons order did not turn up.

  • "We had a great stay."

The chill out space is absolutely fantastic and really made our stay very relaxing. We felt that the property was well catered for and you have really thought about everything that was needed for a lovely stay, which was much appreciated. Some parts of the property are looking a little tired and may need a freshen up, but that certainly didn’t detract from our time there. Many thanks

  • "A very pleasant property with spacious grounds and friendly, responsive owners."

It was as wonderful as the listing described. We very much enjoyed relaxing in the huge electric hot tub listening to the birds in the tall trees. Being so large the covers are heavy and need two people to remove them. I mention this as my husband and I are in our seventies and beginning to realise that the time may come soon when we wouldn't be able to manage lifting them. Our only problem was that the house instruction booklet that would have been helpful to read on arrival had been put on top of the tall fridge/freezer and not found by us until we were leaving. We also found no instructions on using the induction hob and electric ovens which, when you are used to gas, is not as blindingly obvious as everyone who has electric ovens seems to assume. We also didn't discover the lock on the stable door entrance to the house until towards the end of our stay.

  • "The house itself is lovely, me and some friends went on a long weekend like we have many times before."

The outside space is excellent and so much fun and we had a fab time in the hot tub. The downside for us was the house has mice. The first mouse we saw was crawling on the kitchen side, then next time was in the shower and escaped at the back of the toilet. Then at night you can hear them running around in the ceiling. Some people say in the countryside you can expect mice, but for me they shouldn’t be in the house. The rodents are clearly finding a way in and that needs addressing as after we saw the mice we couldn’t relax and we scared all the time. I can’t fault the owner for coming straight down after we saw the first one, which we carried out in the bread bin. He then put a few traps down but the weekend was really quite upsets for me as I have a real fear of mice.

  • "The Coach house is a large property ideal for celebrations or multi generation family groups."

The listing could do with updating to reflect it now has a superb electric powered hot tub rather than a wood powered one. The chill out area really made the property. Some shade would be useful as we were there in a very hot sunny week.

  • "This is a great holiday stay, we were a group of 5 friends and everything needed was provided with helpful owners onsite."

The house is tucked away off the main road making it a peaceful spot! The kitchen is very well equipped with 2 ovens and loads of cups, cutlery, glasses, pots and pans etc. The bedrooms are lovely and well appointed! Great living room with log burner and loads of extras (DVD’s CD’s and games). The garden is beautiful, it snowed for 10 minutes whilst in the hot tub but this was magical; I can only imagine the garden area to be a brilliant place to host in the warmer months! (Don’t be like some people and complain about the hot tub heat or time to heat up... it’s a wood burner and can take time!) the sauna is a lovely touch too! For those who need it - the WiFi and phone signal can be hit and miss but again it’s the area your in and not really needed! Although phone signal was easily picked up by the gate to the house! A great stay and nothing to complain about! Can’t wait to book again!

  • "What a wonderful weekend we had here at The Coach House."

A group of 8 came for a hen weekend and had a fabulous time. This is a lovely property set in gorgeous countryside. We were pleasantly surprised to see some Alpacas on the drive up to the property. Plenty of space for parking available out the front. The property is spacious and welcoming, and again we were surprised that so much was provided... Little touches like dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid which is very thoughtful as other properties visited do not provide this. The rooms were all lovely and clean as were the bathrooms. Towels and bedding all provided. Complimentary crocs are provided to walk down to the chill out area and some robes can be rented for a small charge which is a great idea! We had fun and games with the hot tub and sauna area, its a little tricky to get going but it was well worth it, and we spent Saturday in and out of the tub and sauna, then had an amazing BBQ in the hut in the evening. Dave and Suzanne were on hand to help if we needed anything. We will definitely return here again in the future!

  • "We stayed at the coach house for an early family Christmas break, on arrival the house was very cold, there was nobody to great us and we did not know where the boiler was situated."

There are notices everywhere, do not use too much internet, switch off the lights, do not exercise dogs in yard, breakages must be paid for etc etc, it was a bit concerting considering the amount we paid for a long weekend! The upstairs has been modernised and looks lovely but the down stairs bedroom was awful, the bathroom was like something out of a poor old peoples home, the grouting was dirty and it was generally scruffy. The hot tub and hut outside was magical, however dont expect to have a nice dip as it takes hours to heat up and if you leave it on it will get so hot you cant get in! A small amount of wood was supplied but this was not near enough to have the wood burner, hot tub and fire in the hut going for a day let alone a weekend. We asked the owner for extra wood and was made to feel as though we had asked for a gold coin!! Rolled eyes and said 'you should have asked this morning'. Suzanne did supply some extra wood but that also ran out and we were too scared to ask for more so went down the road for some. Be aware if you use the towels they charge and robes are supplied at a cost, I have never encountered this before. Overall we had a good time but that was only what we made it - we go away every year and have already booked for 2019 we wont be staying at the Coach House. I guess in comparison to other places we have stayed over the years this did not hit the mark

We made full use of the hot tub most evenings and used the sauna and indoor bbq hut as well. The surrounding countryside was stunning and yet set only a few miles from towns/villages. House was so comfortable you could live there. Fully equipped kitchen with two ovens was great for a large group and certainly pleased the cook of the group. The "Chillout Zone" was just that; hot tub, sauna, outdoor seating area and BBQ hut all added to the holiday experience. The hot tub had no chemicals in which meant water had to be changed regularly and then it took a good few hours to reheat. However not smelling of chemicals was a bonus and also meant no impact on delicate skin. Hosts were helpful and fiery nice and their pets very friendly, especially Diego the alpaca who liked to race alongside the car. Definitely somewhere to rebook for 2018!
