The property

Dolgellau 5.3 miles.

A detached house dating back to 1810 in Bontddu, overlooking the Mawddach Estuary and Cadair Idris in Snowdonia.

Nestled in the countryside, this property is poised perfectly for a family adventure close to the Welsh coast with many paths for walkers and hikers including into the Rhinogs & Clogau gold mining valley lead directly from the property.

There is a private, gated drive leading to the property which allows parking for three vehicles.

Outside you will find breath-taking, elevated views overlooking the estuary and the surrounding woodland.

The exterior of the property is striking, with a modern oak extension which contrasts against the original period architecture of the main property, which was previously a chapel.

There is also a sheltered decking area outside with outdoor furniture, meaning the property can be enjoyed in all weather conditions.

Inside the property there is a small, recently refurbished cloakroom with WC and basin.

The snug living room features a stone fireplace with woodburning stove, perfect for chilling out and listening to the radio.

The larger, main living room is circular and provides views of the rural woodland, with a fantastic inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove.

The kitchen/dining area has ample dining for six people and a sleekly decorated kitchen.

The kitchen has modern appliances, a Belfast sink and plenty of worktop space, perfect for prepping homemade meals.

Upstairs, the gallery landing showcases impressive architecture and provides a communal feel to the property.

The first king-size bedroom is quirky and circular in shape, featuring exposed timber beams and four windows, providing plenty of natural light.

The second bedroom has a double bed and provides more woodland views to ensure a tranquil setting.

The master bedroom has unique timber framing and a glass balcony, providing that "wow" factor.

The master bedroom also features an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and basin.

This property is set in a natural woodland, frequented by wildlife and sound-tracked by birdsong and rusting leaves.

If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic retreat, venture into Dolgellau, where you can expect everything from a quaint market town, including wine bars, pubs, shops and plenty more.

Head over to Barmouth to enjoy a relaxing day on the sandy beaches, perfect for summer days, or if you prefer to get active during your stay, then take full advantage of the fantastic mountain ranges that Snowdonia has to offer.

Mountains, beaches, countryside and more, this property is the full-package, providing a luxurious home-away-from-home for you and your loved ones.
