  • "Really great place to stay - the only slight criticism of ourselves is that we found the size of the shower cubicle a little challenging - nothing that a determined effort to diet wouldn't fix!"

    Very good and highly recommended.

Approach to the cottage is very steep, ok in a car but a bit of a struggle for my asthmatic wife, but we are in Wales! Birdlife fantastic the owners have bird feeders and nest boxes everywhere. A very enjoyable holiday.

Owners are friendly & helpful with lots of recommendations of places to visit. Fantastic views, places to sit & enjoy watching the birds on the feeders. Cottage was cosy, immaculately clean with everything we needed. Small but perfectly formed, a lovely place for a couple to enjoy mid Wales. Thank you.

Unfortunately in Wales with sheep all around us , the gate has to be opened and shut , to prevent them escaping, but thank you for staying with us. Property Owner

Would have liked to been told it was up a narrow lane Also bedroom needs to have a mirror near a socket as I couldn't get my hairdryer to reach to the mirrors The lady that owns the cottages is amazing with lots of information about the local area

The lane up to the cottages is a wide lane that enables the farmer to bring his tractors by us, l have since put a mirror in the bedroom by the electric socket, Thank you for your positive feedback , Property Owner

  • "The cottage is very small and facilities are basic."

It was adequate for myself and my little dog, especially as we were out all day at our friend's house. Mrs Bough was very friendly and they have a good range of leaflets of places to visit. It should be made clear that there is no cell phone reception or Internet outside the cottage WiFi. The garden was a lovely spot had the weather been better.

Thank you for your feedback, the property is as described on the advert and we do try to make it as clear as possible as to the style of the property and we have also included information on the advert that the due to location, WiFi is only suitable for browsing and not for downloading. Mobile reception signal is always dependent on the guest's network in any accommodation and we are sorry if on this occasion your network provider did not have a local mast. This can happen in a rural area although we do hope that the peaceful and serene location makes up for that along with the spectacular views. The property has all the facilities necessary including a microwave, high quality beds and comfortable sofa, for guest enjoyment. Property Owner

Great views from the property and plenty to do all around if you want to get away from it all. Lorraine and Frank are excellent hosts with a wealth of information. Our Cockerpoo loved it! Standard of cleanliness and general maintenance exceeded our expectations. Will definitely go again.

  • "The parking at the accommodation is there however not outside of the property which can prove difficult with mobility issues."

Lorraine and Frank are extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The view from oak cottage is incredible. The cottage has everything which you need for your stay. The birds, local wildlife and the girls(hens) are a welcome distraction in a rainy day. There is a beautiful garden with summer house, seating and wooden swing but unfortunately we had little chance to use it during our stay due to the weather.
