  • "Pauline was absolutely lovely, only spoke with her a few times but the little book left in the cottage was full of helpful information and you can tell Pauline and Tom was keen to help where they could."

I would recommend this cottage to either a couple getaway or a few friends wanting some time away from reality. Me, my partner and our two friends really enjoyed our time here. The hot tub was great and very clean. The summer house is definitely worth it in the winter too with the heater in there, definitely recommend to pre heat before you get in the hot tub. 10/10 for this little cottage. I will definitely be returning. Thank you again Pauline and Tom!:)

  • "We had the most wonderful experience staying at Little Mill Cottage."

It exceeded all expectations. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were catered for and that we had the perfect stay, offering the use of their land for walking and exploring, also a tour of the farm and to see the various animals. However, as it was booked for my 60th Birthday treat we chose to chill for the three days, but the choice was there. The cottage was so cute, clean and had everything that we could possibly need, however we did suggest it may benefit from having a radio for when you wanted some music outside as there is no WIFI or phone signal at the property, which suited us as we wanted a complete break away, especially in these uncertain times, it was nice to forget for a little while. The hot tub was amazing especially on a clear night looking up at the stars and the summer house was such a bonus allowing us to spend time outside whilst in and out of the hot tub, especially if the weather wasn’t so great. The landscape is stunning, the nearby village is so pretty, we had Sunday lunch at one of it’s pubs, in the marquee, using Social Distancing and would highly recommend. The only negative I could possibly think of is that we didn’t book enough time there!!! We were reluctant to leave but will definitely be going back as soon as we can, we would very highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Pauline and Tom.

The photos of the cottage do not do it justice. This place is perfect. No WiFi, no signal, pure heaven. The cows coming to visit us whilst relaxing in the hot tub was unbelievable. Pauline could not do enough for us and had thought of everything for our stay. Will definitely be staying here again. Thank you

  • "WOW!! Little Mill was incredible"

. It was so clean and comfortable and we had an amazing time. The hot tub was amazing, the scenery was incredible, there were board games and DVDs provided which really made our weekend so much better, there was no signal and no WiFi which was such a nice experience for us because it allowed us to spend time together as a couple without phones. The beds were super comfortable and with it being so secluded, it was so quiet at night and you could hear the stream out the front which was so relaxing. Pauline, Tom and their family were so so friendly and so welcoming, Pauline took my girlfriend round to see her cows which are her favourite animals and she made so much conversation and helped us with whatever we need. We are definitely gonna come back. We've recommended it to all our friends and family so far.

  • "We found the cottage to be even better than the pictures on the website."

It was a little remote hence no WiFi or phone signal until you reached the nearest village but who needs it on a weekend away so I didn't find it an issue as Pauline and Tom (the owners) kindly gave us their password so a short walk to the farm was all that was needed. The facilities are excellent but the best thing has to be the hot tub sitting out under the stairs contemplating the universe in all its glory. If you want a chilled out break away from the stresses of everyday life then pick Little Mill you will not be disappointed I can reassure you on that.

On arrival Pauline the owner was lovely really accommodating and friendly. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. My daughters were delighted with the hot tub (and also me) and were never out of it if we were home. Its peaceful and tranquil setting was just what we needed to relax and enjoy each others company. The fact that there is no signal for phones and no wifi was actually quite lovely even our teenage daughters didn't miss it and we were able to enjoy talking to each other and playing some of the games that Pauline had provided in the cottage. It was great family time. My youngest daughter loved to see the sheep and cattle coming to say hello and was amazed when the sheep came over for a stroke. Pauline said we could visit the farm for a look around anytime but we never got around to that but we will next time. We visited nearby Welshpool and Newtown and also went further a field to Cardigan bay, Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury. Can't wait to return just looking at the next dates we can be off together and we shall be booking again. Thanks Pauline and family you have a wonderful place pure heaven.

  • "This cottage is a little gem!"

Far exceeded our expectations. We were given excellent directions from Pauline the owner & didn’t once take a wrong turn. The cottage is in a private location, not overlooked apart from the occasional sheep! We arrived during hurricane Callum but even this didn’t deter from our stay. It was lovely to watch the changing weather on the beautiful countryside and we made good use of the selection of board games in the cottage. The cottage itself was beautifully clean and well equipped for a self catering stay. Full of character & charm whilst having the benefits of modern living and a hot tub positioned in such a way to give absolute privacy to look over the countryside or up at the stars at night. The owners could not have been more helpful, they were on hand if needed but also kept a respectful distance. Mobile signal was poor generally throughout the area however were were able to use WIFI call with our mobile provider and internet at the cottage was good for most of our stay. The area had lots to do if you want to get out & about - Powys castle nearby is well worth a trip and the Welshpool/ Llanfair Caereinion railway a great way to spend an afternoon. Lots of gentle walks nearby too. All in all a perfect place to relax & get away from it all. Many thanks to Pauline & Tom

  • "You ABSOLUTELY need to improve your directions and erect a sign."

We spent AN HOUR with our three year old in the car driving up and down the road for miles looking for the cottage. There was nothing to alert us to the location, there was no mobile phone reception to call the owners. We drove to the nearest town to get mobile reception and there was no answer anyway. We had to stop 5 times to ask people. It was very stressful and NOT how we wanted our holiday to start. When we eventually arrived at the cottage it was still being cleaned (even though we were an hour later than planned) and the hot tub had just been refilled so it was still cold. It sounded like this was unavoidable, something to do with cows escaping, but still, so disappointing. All the way up we had been telling our daughter she could go in the hot tub when we got there but it wasn't warm enough until the following morning. The hit tub was the reason we booked this cottage so the fact that it was out of use for the first night was really disappointing. Apart from that, no complaints. Lovely little cottage in a beautiful location.

The cottage is newly refurbished with a massive new hot tub and summer house in the garden. We were the owners first ever let so we gave a few suggestions about extra bits needed but in general everything you needed was there. It was lovely looking out of the cottage windows and seeing the sheep and cows in the next field and the rolling welsh hills. It’s a really quiet location so perfect for a cosy relaxing break!
