The pod was very well equipped and so cosy. The weather wasn't the best, but we still had a great time and dogs loved watching the little birds, pheasant and the squirrels in the garden. The only thing missing was a hot tub, but that is a personal preference. Many thanks to the owners xx

Thank you from Jacobs Meadow 2 for your lovely feedback. Thank you again x Property Owner

I actually forgot to write in the welcome booklet how great our stay was. Shame about the awful weather but this did not ruin our stay. Location was fantastic and definitely would like to stay again but in warmer months.

  • "Absolutely spotless!"

! The plug in nightlight is a great touch as my Mum has poor eyesight. We did not understand what the raised bed really meant. My Mum was unable to get on and off safely and had to sleep in the lounge. She had no problem with this but the curtains were not blackout. So she didn't sleep as well. There was very little cupboard space for food so we had to leave most of it outside. The folding table was genius!! A motion sensor light could do with being installed by the gate as going to the car in the dark was quite dangerous. Now this sounds like we were unhappy, the absolute opposite and we can't wait to return!! What a perfect spot for a quiet getaway!! Hearing the running water from the Brook was lovely!! The heating was amazing! Certainly didn't take long to warm up!! As no drafts anywhere which was perfect!! Oh and no spiders!! Lol...bathroom was fabulous, I could absolutely live in one!! Thankyou

  • "The pod was comfortable."

The meadow was very peaceful and lots of thought had gone into its layout. The bird feeders in sight of the pod were lovely, as they attracted so many birds. The furniture was very comfortable. The verandah was marvellous, and we enjoying sitting out even when it was so hot, as we were protected from the sun. Our only suggestion is that the address to the pod includes White Grit. We travelled over 200 miles from West Sussex, and did not come via Shrewsbury. We had great difficulty finding it. Fortunatly, a local lady in one of the villages was able to direct us based on the tin church landmark. We did research the location before we left home and assumed the address given would enable us to find the location easily. The signal on our phones did not work in the local roads. We did have an ordnance survey map and would have been able to locate the pod easily if this information had been provided. This part of the world was entirely new to us. It was not the best way to start our holiday.

So sorry you had trouble finding us, I will get on to it and get White Gritt mentioned in the directions. Thank you for your kind description of the over view of the pod as it didn’t have a good start to your holiday. Property Owner

  • "The best equipped kitchen I have ever had in a self-catering holiday."

Appliances all easy to use and instructions available if necessary. Comfortable, firm beds. The shower and bbq are excellent. Enough room for 3 humans and two medium dogs so we didn't trip over each other during our week on site. Loved the porch area and its view and appreciated the quiet of the locale. The Pod 2 guide has great suggestions of things to do and places to visit within a short drive. Highly recommend the Co-op in Church Stoke/Yr Ystog for provisions.

Very secluded and quiet….we really enjoyed having coffee on the verandah, looking out into the garden with its little lake and wonderful huge oak tree, listening to all the birds, including the cuckoo !…..and a few quick glimpses of a couple of hares…. We had a very warm welcome from our hostess, who gave us some tips on great places to visit, of which there are many ! I would recommend staying in this pod…it’s a peaceful and relaxing hideaway !

  • "Just back from a 4 night stay between Christmas and New Year staying in Pod 2."

Arrived on Monday (Boxing Day) to a welcome pack of a luxury hamper including pate, crackers, jam, Christmas crackers and a bottle of Prosecco thank you! Access was easy via the key box located outside by the bbq and the pod was immaculately clean and tidy and decorated to a modern high standard. Listed to sleep 6 but a small family of four would realistically be the max especially in winter when confined more to the pod which is well designed to maximise the space. Everything we needed was to hand along with basic necessities such as tea, coffee, sugar and condiments etc. one slight gripe is that my wife found the mattress quite hard although I found it ok. We had two small dogs with us and found everything more than adequate for our stay as we spent much of our time out walking and taking in the stunning scenery close to the accommodation. There is another small pod next door and a cottage close by at the end of the drive but otherwise is quiet other than the occasional barking from the dogs up the road. The other pod was not occupied for most of our stay. Word of warning that this accommodation is fairly remote with the nearest supermarket (COOP) 6 miles away and although the pub is within walking distance it is a 15:1 hill down and 17:1 coming back up. All in all a pleasant stay and would highly recommend.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Jacob's Meadow - the pod was beautifully clean and so comfortable."

Our views were stunning, and my son (a nature-mad 9 year old) was in heaven! The bird feeders kept us entertained with at least 11 different species visiting... the small pond was so relaxing to sit by... the local walks were gorgeous (and red kites circled above almost constantly). Wildlife fans will all adore this location - ten out of ten in every aspect. Also must mention that when I couldn't figure out the hot water for the shower, the owner was there to help in no time at all (but we had all the privacy and peace we wanted throughout our stay, with zero interference) Truly a brilliant place to holiday... will return!!!
