  • "I couldn't have felt more at home."

The perfect rural retreat, with so much provided and the most delightful hosts. On reflection, I'm not sure how one would get everything dry had the weather been really bad, but knowing Vicky, she would have been really helpful had that occurred. The bath with hand held shower took a bit of getting used to - you do have to be fairly flexible. I would love to go there again.

The accommodation was clean and had everything you needed, only complaint is that the bath plug wouldn't stay in place so you couldn't actually have a bath.

  • "We really enjoyed our time here, the owners were lovely and very obliging."

The accommodation was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean, therefore we had a very comfortable stay. The property is surrounded by gorgeous countryside with great views and all you can hear besides the peace and quiet is birdsong! The location is very handy for visiting Shropshires many attractions, we also hopped over the border into Wales to visit Powis Castle, which is absolutely stunning. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and would definitely recommend to others.

  • "When we arrived we were greeted by Vicky our host and made to feel really welcome."

The Loft was really clean, the bed and settee comfortable. The food, bread, eggs, milk, biscuits and jams were very welcome on our arrival. There is nothing like standing outside the door with a cup of tea and watching the squirrels playing in the trees, or seeing Red Kites flying low over the hills close to the property. If you love peace and quiet then The Loft will not disappoint.

  • "An excellent week."

Accommodation was very clean and more spacious than we anticipated - ample room for a couple. A good base for exploring the area - we spent a couple of days cycling on the Montgomery Canal towpath, a day walking in the nearby hills, visited Ironbridge and had a trip to the beautiful Lake Vyrnwy in Wales.

The owners thought of everything - couldn't have asked for more. Vikki had even left provisions to start us off - milk, bread, butter pats, jams and choccy bics - plus tea, coffee & sugar in the cannisters! Vikki's husband Neil made us very welcome too. Nothing was too much trouble

The cleanliness was exceptionally which obviously is important to visitors at the moment, no need to worry. Vicky & Neil are friendly, helpful, approachable hosts without ever imposing on your stay. Vicky has thought of everything, if you are thinking do I need to take half of the house with me, trust me the answer is no, everything you need is there, even down to a very thoughtful welcome pack of bread, butter, jam, milk, eggs & biscuits. Items within The Loft are of an excellent quality, far exceeded cottages we have stayed in previously. The Loft is a little home from home and a credit to Vicky & Neil, thank you for looking after us.

Thoroughly appreciated all the fantastic little touches, such as the mini blue-tooth speaker system (they also have a rather nifty worldwide adapter for overseas guests). Although it's mostly contained within one room, The Loft felt plenty spacious. We were a little unsure about the parking allocation as there was no obvious space, but parked in front of the garages below The Loft, which the owner's parents (who were house sitting the main property) were happy with. After our long days cycling, I think we became converts to seating oneself in the bath to take a shower!
