The property

Ideal for couples or small families searching for a quaint getaway, this quirky detached barn conversion is nestled just outside the small market town of Llanfyllin, in Powys, Wales.

Tawny Barn is in a tucked away location on the owner's farm, adjacent to Owl House, a much larger barn standing in its own grounds for larger families.

This marvellous property is beautifully presented and offers idyllic countryside and open-field views.

Entering through Tawny Barn’s private gateway, you'll find a small enclosed patio area with outdoor seating for two, where you can enjoy your morning coffee, breakfast or BBQ in the company of the rolling hillside beyond.

Two steps from the patio and you will be welcomed into a studio style kitchen/dining/sitting room, all underfloor heated, with a contemporary shower room to the right, which includes a WC, hand basin, a large shower cubicle, and a heated towel rail.

The area has been optimised for space throughout, ensuring a welcoming and homely stay.

The full-size double bed has practical shelving units above and an additional small shelf with a reading light where you can unwind with a good book before drifting off to a refreshing night's embrace.

The wooden-style kitchen area is well-equipped for all your necessities, and includes a built-in microwave combi-oven, fridge and freezer compartment, a dishwasher, and a toaster.

For all your utility needs, there is a shared washing machine and tumble dryer available for guests to use in a separate building.

Giving you space to unwind and socialise, behind this is the sitting area, with a leather sofa, corner Smart TV, coffee table, a foldaway table and two dining chairs, a large window allowing natural light and pleasing countryside views, and an A-frame exposed barn beams, a beautiful character feature to this unique property.

An impressive paddle staircase stands in the middle of the room which leads to a charming mezzanine style single bedroom, which includes a bedside table and a large velux window where you can look up and stargaze in the comfort of your bed.

Nestled deep in the scenic Cain Valley, Llanfyllin's charming town centre is only a short distance away from the property.

Here you can find a weekly farmer's market, an excellent selection of cafes and restaurants, as well as all your amenities for during your stay.

The town is an ideal centre to explore the outstanding nearby areas, including the town of Welshpool with its castle and lush gardens, Lake Vyrnwy with its spectacular sights and nature reserve, and Snowdonia National Park, with its wealth of leisure activities and incredible panoramic views.

Tawny Barn is a splendid rural retreat for couples and small families that promises a relaxed holiday in Llanfyllin.
