  • "Lovely cottage."

Clean, well equipped, comfortable, warm and spacious and with off road parking. Nice garden with different areas to sit to make the most of the sun. Our adventurous Jack Russell didn’t escape so it’s well enclosed. Welcome pack was much appreciated and the info brochure by from the owners was useful and comprehensive. Good location for holidays with dog, excellent beaches nearby.

  • "Immaculate property with lots of homely touches."

The owners even put up a Christmas tree and decorations which we greatly appreciated. Lovely rooms, very comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and a charming garden fully enclosed for our dog. Parking may be an issue should you have two large vehicles. We would happily recommend to friends and family.

  • "The cottage & the facilities were brilliant but considering the extra hour that was added on for cleaning it wasn’t the best!"

The odd cobwebs mirrors were smeared but nothing major!! A few of the floor tiles were cracked too & the one on the edge of the fireplace could be lifted right up which wasn’t ideal while our Grandson was there. Overall it was a lovely spacious cottage & I would happily stay again when time & money allows.

  • "We had a wonderful holiday at Bryn Siloh."

Even though the weather wasnt great and we couldn't go to the beach everyday, it didn't matter at all. The whole family, including teenagers and dog, were more than happy to stay indoors and chill out. The house is extremely comfortable. It far exceeded our expectations, the pictures didn't do it justice. The beds were so comfortable we all slept liked logs. The house is spacious, relaxing and very clean. The safety measures put in place for Covid were spot on. The house has everything you could need and more. The garden is very pretty with lots of different places to sit and relax. Our dog loved it too! Nanternis is very pretty. The walk to the 'secret beach' is beautiful. New Quay is a short drive away, as are many other stunning beaches. We can't wait to return!

  • "We were so happy to arrive at Brynsiloh and find it exactly as it was pictured!"

The house was so big but very comfy throughout. We loved every room - in particular the warm, cosy lounge, the bathroom and the large table in the dining room. The gardens were lovely & well kept. It was very peaceful at night time. It had everything we needed for our stay and was very easy to get to larger towns. We enjoyed a rainy day walk to The Secret Beach. We loved every minute of this holiday (2 adults, 3 young children and a puppy) and we are already planning a return.

Everything is as described. Lots of extras supplied such as tea-towels , hand wash ,sugar etc. Chris and Jo have thought of everything. We will be back as we enjoyed all the walking around the area. My husband loved sitting on the bench in the front garden. So tranquil. The welcome gifts were really a nice touch as it made us feel welcome. This is really a home from home.

  • "We have been regular visitors to this area and this is the best cottage we have stayed in, by far."

It was excellent. The house was very comfortable, with a very high standard of decoration. The various works of art on the walls were delightful and the whole house was a treat. The kitchen is particularly well stocked with whatever you need to make a dish and there are plenty of games and DVDs as well as wii games should it be a bit murky outdoors. The gardens are worth a special mention. They are totally dog proof and the individual areas make it perfect for a family barbecue, a secluded spot with a book and a coffee or a bit of late summer sunbathing. The area is also wonderful. The secret beach which is approximately a 40 minute walk away through beautiful woods and meadows which teem with wildlife and butterflies was perfect. The day we visited there was only one other family there. New Quay is only 10 minutes away in the car and is full of places to eat while further down the coast are the pretty bays of Llangrannog, Tresaith and Aberporth. All have great beaches as well as places to eat and drink and the beaches are safe for children and dogs. This was the loveliest holiday we have had in the area and this was down in no part to this wonderful property.

  • "Beautiful house that is obviously well loved."

Lots of thought has been put into the house. Sometimes when you go on holiday it is less than your own home. This wasn't. Everything was there that was needed. The garden is lovely and nice to relax in. It was lovely to walk down to the secret beach and close to New Quay and other interesting places.

  • "The holiday home is lovely and set in a very quiet spot and the locals we spoke to were very friendly."

However, we felt this was not as relaxing a holiday as it should have been, mainly due to the lack of sleep from the sun pouring through the bedroom windows from around 5 am every morning - I know we shouldn't complain about the sun - but when you go away for a rest you want decent sleep - all it needs is to put up blackout lined curtains and the problem would be solved. Plus the beds are the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in - (Many people in the visitor's book have commented on this). Bouncy mattresses and our feet kept getting stuck in the slats at the end of the beds, and be warned do not sit on the edge of the bed when you are getting in and out which can be difficult not to, as the slats under the mattress kept popping out and we had to keep putting them back. - the slats have not been made long enough. Poor bed manufacturing. We were so tired at the end of the holiday we left a day early to get home and get some decent sleep. - this was a shame as the holiday home itself is lovely. Also regarding the secluded beach - its a bit of a trek albeit a pleasant one and we are used to walking, it is not at all suited for people who are slightly uneasy on their feet, plus when we got there some inconsiderate person had dumped a fridge and bags of rubbish on the beach - we have reported this to the National Trust - so hopefully it will be removed soon. The garden is not dog proof in any, we got around this by keeping our dog on his lead. The house is clean, tidy and well appointed at the beginning of the holiday we said we would definitely come back by the end we had changed our minds as we were so tired. Which is a shame. Oh the shower is fab - one with real power.

  • "We had an excellent holiday."

The cottage was situated in a peaceful, tranquil location without being too far from anywhere. You could easily take walks through the local area along roads/paths and fields and our dog was totally exhausted after just 2 days - a pretty hard achievement for a Springer! The cottage itself was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The owners seem to have taken time and thought when equipping and furnishing it, and there really wasn't anything to want for. The garden offers lots of little nooks to sit in and enjoy the quiet, or the stars. As an aside, it made for an excellent early Easter egg hunt (it seems children can never be too old for this!) We really did enjoy our holiday, not just for the cottage but the opportunity to explore an area that was new to us. We will definitely be back both to the area and the cottage. Thank you for a perfect holiday.
