  • "We appreciated the welcome pack."

The accommodation was very clean and tidy and well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. It was cosy, comfortable, private and quiet. The location was good with plenty of places to visit and explore. We enjoyed our stay at Barley Cottage. Highly recommended, Thanks Mark & Shirley

  • "Lovely comfy cottage, extremely well appointed with every attention to detail."

Set in a beautifully peaceful area but with very easy access to the coastal towns, villages and beaches. Cottage has everything you could possibly need during your stay. Great log burner, choice of two tables to eat at, lovely bathroom and nice little seating area outside. The bedroom window seat is so lovely just to sit and look out and watch the Red Kites, we also spotted a fox! Plenty of parking. Would definitely recommend and would also return.

  • "Barley Cottage was the perfect get away and suited our needs perfectly."

The cottage is ideally situated between beautiful countryside and the coast. New Quay and Aberaeron, both 10 minutes drive away, are lovely. The cottage has everything you could possible need on holiday and is tastefully decorated throughout. From cosy lounge with log burner and TV… sun lounge, for breakfast and relaxing with comfy sofa to spacious double bedroom with window seat for restoration, peace and tranquility. We will most certainly try to come back in the very near future as we were sad to leave such a gorgeous place.

  • "Barley Cottage is in an ideal location, well off the beaten track."

The garden is secluded and private, and the cottage itself is delightful. Nothing has been forgotten, and with so much attention to detail, there are really no criticisms to make at all. All sorts of little touches are evident from a welcome pack of food and basics, to spare toiletries, towels and blankets galore, games and books, a perfectly equipped kitchen, outside lantern and fairy lights, and more to discover in every drawer. We will definitely be returning!

  • "Had a lovely few days at Barley Cottage."

Its set in beautiful countryside and is very private. Perfect for getting away from it all! The cottage itself is very cosy and clean and furnished to a very high standard. The bed is so comfortable and the bedroom light and airy and with fantastic views. The sitting room is very cosy on an evening with the log fire going and the conservatory is perfect for breakfast. All in all Barley cottage is the perfect getaway for those wanting to escape the stresses in life. We spent hours sitting in the bedroom window seat admiring the beautiful countryside. We met Corrine on arrival who was very hospitable and a lovely welcome pack was left for us. Will definatly return to Barley Cottage but would love to stay for longer next time. Would highly reccomend.

  • "This comfortable, well-appointed cottage was everything we could have wished for and provided us with a week of peace and relaxation."

It is definitely 'off the beaten track' but not so remote that we couldn't easily visit some beautiful places in the local area. Our hosts were welcoming and very helpful. Definitely a place we would highly recommend if you want to escape from a busy life for a few days.

  • "When we were looking for somewhere quiet and a little bit off the beaten track, Barley Cottage did it in spades."

The cottage benefits from a really cosy log burner, which we used every night, having never used one before we were surprised how easy it was to keep it burning and the the cottage soon got warm. The bedroom has a window in the roof , it has a blind but we never used it, the night sky is very impressive because there’s very little ambient light, and we were lucky enough to have 3 cloudless nights and the stars looked very impressive. The views from the summer room are pretty good too. The cottage is well equipped, Dan and Corrine have done a fantastic job on the decor. We had a lovely stress free long weekend there, and didn’t want for anything. It is definitely a 5 star rating from us Thanks again to Dan and Corrine

We were delighted to be barley cottages first ever guests! Corina even went out of her way to provide us with some vegan products on arrival. The cottage had everything we needed and the window seat overlooking the fields was amazing. There is limited or no signal so had to make sure we were connected to the WiFi to communicate to people. Lots of driving required to Visit places and there are food limited shops around new quay. We spent 5 hours in new quay purely watching the dolphins.
