We always anticipate what we're walking into when we first open the doors on any holiday cottage we book but when we opened the door on this cottage we got the 'WOW' factor. The decor was beautiful, extremely comfortable, best sleep in a long time, bathroom very modern and log burner kept you warm and snug. Parking was no problem and hosts were there if needed. All in all, a perfect place to stay and 5 stars from me

The cottage was comfortable, with great views from the bedroom window seat. Although access to the property is down a few narrow roads this was not a problem as the lanes are quiet. Getting to the coast and further inland was easy. If you looking for a peaceful, relaxing location then Barley Cottage is an ideal place to stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Away from the beaten track, quiet, comfortable and just what was needed after a very difficult few weeks. The owner was friendly, kind and attentive but gave us privacy and space to enjoy the beautiful cottage. The window seat as many others has described is a beautiful place to sit with a morning coffee to watch the wildlife in the opposite fields. Located very well to visit many places and the seaside to watch dolphins. A real hidden gem in the Welsh countryside. We would love to return. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage.

We really appreciated the peace and quiet, and the high level of comfort provided with a thoughtful and pleasing layout of the cottage. There were lots of little details which made you feel welcome. The welcome pack of quality items, wine, cheese, butter etc. The beautiful plants softening the place up, and the lovely well-appointed kitchen and shower room were a delight. Loads of cushions, throws, cuddly blankets for the cooler evenings with the log burner! The addition of the entrance porch/sunroom is a bonus as it really warmed up in the morning sunshine. With great views over the surrounding countryside from the sunroom or the upstairs window seat. A great base to explore either the countryside or lanes, and the great little coastal towns and beaches. I would highly recommend this cottage to any couple seeking a peaceful haven within reach of all the Cardigan Bay has to offer.

The cottage benefits from a really cosy log burner, which we used every night, having never used one before we were surprised how easy it was to keep it burning and the the cottage soon got warm. The bedroom has a window in the roof , it has a blind but we never used it, the night sky is very impressive because there’s very little ambient light, and we were lucky enough to have 3 cloudless nights and the stars looked very impressive. The views from the summer room are pretty good too. The cottage is well equipped, Dan and Corrine have done a fantastic job on the decor. We had a lovely stress free long weekend there, and didn’t want for anything. It is definitely a 5 star rating from us Thanks again to Dan and Corrine
