  • "We spent a fabulous week at Pond Cottage, in a beautiful, quiet location, with just the birds as company, we slept like logs."

The cottage was spotlessly clean & extremely comfortable. On arrival were lots of little extras like dog treats, Easter cakes and milk, which we really appreciated. It was one one the best equipped places we’ve stayed in & the information pack was full of extremely useful suggestions. Our hosts were on site to welcome us and were friendly and helpful. Great location to explore Cardigan bay, can’t wait to return….

That's so kind of you. We try very hard to make our guests comfortable and welcome. We love it here and are happy that you do as well. Property Owner

It's a very good location for exploring the Cardigan Bay area and beyond. The cottage was immaculately clean, had all the necessary facilities, yet very homely too. The hot tub was top-drawer. Phillipa and Mark were very friendly, helpful hosts and Casper and Bailey were lovely to have around. All in all, a great property and location, and very peaceful too. Would highly recommend!

The cottage was excellent and spotlessly clean. The setting was also so peaceful and relaxing. I can't leave feedback without mentioning the two dogs, kasper and Bailey. They were so gentle with our grandson who has autism that we wanted to take them home with us. Overall just excellent. Look forward to going back.

Thank you for your kind remarks. We were very happy that the dogs were able to give your grandson some confidence around dogs, he clearly enjoyed them. Property Owner

Maintained to a high standard with great facilities and spotlessly clean. Ideally situated to explore the central Wales coastline and a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day, what more could anyone want? This cottage is outstanding and if anyone has a week to spare and if available then book it, you will not be disappointed

Thank you so much for appreciating the hard work we put in to make your stay enjoyable. We love welcoming visitors to enjoy the cottage, hot tub and gardens. Property Owner

Set in a beautiful, peaceful location. With the added bonus of a lovely hot tub. Our Golden retriever made the most of the gorgeous surrounding walks and streams. He especially got on well the the owners dogs, who were adorable. Philippa and Mark were always available for plenty of local advise about places to go and see but never intrusive. We would highly recommend the cottage. Thankyou for a perfect week.

  • "Very nice cottage, well equipped and very clean."

Great hot tub. Nice to walk dog down to woodland at the bottom of the garden. The walkway over pound needs maintenance, but there is still good space to exercise your dog. The owners dogs are very friendly and although you see them now and again they are not continually lose around the garden so don’t be put off if you don’t like dogs

Thank you for your kind comments. We have every intention of removing the old bridge as it has collapsed into the water, the ground by the pond is very boggy because of the exceptionally wet winter, as soon as it is dry enough this will be rectified. As you say Bailey and Casper are very friendly and love all our visitors; but they are only out at the same times that we are. Property Owner

  • "This beautiful cottage was decorated with so much love for our Christmas break."

The tree a magical touch. The layout of the property is fantastic. Both bathrooms are absolutely stunning. Everything was so clean. As an enthusiastic cook I enjoyed the spacious kitchen, well appointed cupboards, well equipped with everything you could need. The hot tub was an added bonus. The weather was really not that great, but we very much enjoyed our stay. It is a lovely rural spot, quiet, nature all around, we especially loved the birdfeeder with all the guests including several woodpeckers. Would love to go back there again.

Thank you for your very kind feedback. We are so happy that you enjoyed yourselves. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay, lovely cottage, beautiful surroundings."

Only downside was the heating was controlled by the owners. We were often left very cold, even after asking twice for it to be on during the day. Not great after coming back after a damp cold day at the beach.

Thank you for your kind comments, we're very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our Pond Cottage. As soon as you arrived we did ask you to let us know if the cottage wasn’t warm enough. The main heating was on at 25 in living areas and bathroom and 22 in bedrooms. There is an electric fire in the living room to add to heat and cuddly blankets as suggested by our lovely agent Alison which are on the settees. You did twice mention that it wasn’t warm enough, but it does take a little while for the temperature to change. The bedrooms ended at 25 all day and night and the living room way over 28-29 and on continually. When we went in for changeover we could hardly breath it was so hot. We had to open windows to be able to cope with it. The guests who stayed the following week asked for the bedroom heat to be turned off as it was not necessary and the general heat down by at least 5 degrees. We appreciate that everybody responds differently to temperature levels but we tried really hard to accommodate you, as we do with all of our guests. Property Owner

Upstairs kitchen everything you would need and spotlessly clean. Lounge and sun room was spacious and spent many an hour watching the bird's of many different kinds. • "Lovely, clean and well maintained property."

Dog friendly but don’t let that put you off, it was spotless. An upside down house with 2 en-suite bedrooms on opposite sides of the hallway. One double, one twin. I would have preferred the double to be in the other room which had the nicer walk in shower and was lighter and brighter, but both rooms were good so not a problem and I enjoyed the double ended bath for a good soak. The living area upstairs is spacious with kitchen at one end and sun room with small balcony at the other. The sun room is particularly comfy and loved the filled bird feeder which meant I saw my first ever woodpecker! Your own private hot tub which is fully cleaned between bookings made for good relaxation after a day of coastal hills! Well equipped kitchen; electric hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with good sized ice box. Washing machine, laundry basket and airer. Hairdryer and towels provided. Dishwasher tablets, hand soap, kitchen cleaning stuff provided. Salt, pepper and cling film/sarnie bags provided so no need to bring. Could do with more ‘proper’ mugs for a good sized cuppa. Tips for a good stay: restaurants get booked up so worth advance booking. Moody cow looked nice for sun lunch. The Pepper pot was pleasant for lunch or dinner. The Cost Cutter local shop in New Quay had a surprisingly good selection inc vegetarian. Big supermarkets are a bit further afield so get an advance Tesco delivery or shop on the way. Note that sat nav only gets you so far, don’t forget to drop a pin on the map once arrived so you can find your way back! It’s not hard once you know but confusing the first few times. We enjoyed walking from llangranog and tresaith to pen bryn (which had the better cafe). All in all, a lovely relaxing stay. Thank you.
