The property

Sanris is a contemporary, detached house on an elevated position overlooking the sea in the heart of New Quay, Ceredigion.

A great base for families, this characterful property features a contemporary interior, off-road parking, dog-friendly accommodation, and a balcony where you can enjoy panoramic views of the sparkling coast.

Step into the ground-floor hallway which leads to a beautifully finished, well-equipped kitchen/diner, a shower room for freshening up after beach days, and a light-filled sitting room where you can relax, watch TV, and simply admire the far-reaching views.

The patio doors lead out to your private terrace, where you can make the most of the incredible views across New Quay and the harbour, from sunrise to sunset.

At the right time of year, you may spot dolphins jumping out at sea from the comfort of your holiday home!

When it's time to unwind, head downstairs to the lower ground floor, which hosts a king-size, a double, and a twin bedroom, along with the family bathroom.

There is an optional, quirky children's bunk with limited space on request, ideal for little ones.

Settled in the centre of New Quay, you'll find a range of amenities on your doorstep, including convenience stores, pubs such as the Penrhiwllan Inn, and popular restaurants like The Pepper Pot Bar and Grill.

Your local attractions include two stunning beaches, one of which is dog-friendly, as well as fishing or dolphin spotting boat trips from the harbour, Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre, and Cardigan Bay Watersports for a range of activities.

Spend a day exploring Cardigan, a lovely town home to Cardigan Castle, Mwldan theatre, and the impressive Welsh Wildlife Centre on the outskirts, complete with a play area and cafe overlooking the marshes.

Further north along the coast brings you to Aberystwyth where you'll find a range of attractions, such as Aberystwyth Cliff Railway and the Vale of Rheidol Railway for breath-taking views, the ruins of Aberystwyth Castle, and Aberystwyth Golf Club.

More nearby attractions include the National Trust's Llanerchaeron, the unspoilt Penbryn beach, and Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park.

About the location

Lampeter 12 miles; Cardigan 20 miles; Aberystwyth 24 miles.

This delightful seaside town is one of the most popular holiday resorts all year round, and it is easy to see why when you stroll along the sea edge and enjoy the beautiful views. The lovely range of gift shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs offer all you need, while boat trips are a wonderful opportunity to spot the playful dolphins, seals and other rare animals and birds that inhabit the bay's sheltering waters. For the hands-on members of your party why not try sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, and power boating with expert tuition available? The famous poet, Dylan Thomas, penned many works with inspiration in New Quay including "Quite Early One Morning" and you can follow the Dylan Thomas trail around the town. Just 7 miles away is Aberaeron, a lively Georgian harbour town with multi-coloured cottages and a good selection of restaurants and inns. This wonderful area of Wales not only has stunning sandy beaches, but also beautiful countryside walks and the outstanding Devil's Bridge is world-renowned for the three bridges, the narrow gauge steam railway and the cascading waterfalls. A perfect base for wonderful holidays, all year round.
