  • "Perfect place to get away , took my lab and he loved it !"

Close enough for the sea but far enough for peace and quiet , will definitely be coming back

  • "We had a wonderful time ,very comfortable everything you would need, although the weather was not great it didn't stop us from traveling around ."

The only thing I would suggest would be brighter lighting in the lounge it was very dark but apart from that thankyou for a great break

  • "We had no hot water, bathroom sink broken and disconnected until 2 days before end of stay."

Oven dirty and broken, so not able to cook a meal. Crockery either missing or broken. Unable to sit on sofa or chair without putting towels on first. Covers were sticky and dirty with obvious spills and stains. Cushions on sofa shredded underneath so couldn't turn them to sit on. Floor coverings either sticky or very slippery. We have contacted owner and usual cleaner to be fobbed off with excuses. We have stayed here at least once a year for 7/8 years and never had a problem. Neighbours say groups of rowdy people have been staying for last year or so. The place is trashed, and not fit for purpose. We are both in our 80's and we were driven to this property by my daughter so that we can visit family. If we hadn't had somewhere else to go in the daytime we would have asked her to fetch us back. I tried to contact Sykes but couldn't get through, kept waiting too long and then mobile cut off.

  • "The garden was only accessible down a muddy bank not safe when your not good on your leg's, kitchen had only 3 saucepans and the smallest fry pan you have ever seen."

Bread knife had no handle and the toilet seat moved every time you sat on it. And as for the bed you might as well slept on the floor. Not a good holiday.

l feel a better oven and hot plate would be a good idea, apart from that fine

  • "The holiday was ideal for myself and partner,we both are not very mobile but found the cottage was good as all on one level and no awkward steps."

Parking and turning around was a restriction but because of the way it is situated would be difficult and expensive to improve so I understand the position. It went cold at night on a couple of evenings but no instructions for the heating so didnt touch any controls and the gas fire had a box of matches on the top which indicated to me the ignighter was not working so again didnt mess with it.All in all very good will book it again and recommend to friends and family, thankyou,ROY AND PAM.

  • "Two minor problems were, directions to proprty, post code gets within two miles, then."

...good job we met the local Postman, needs signage. Also, the track up to the cottage is so rutted that my family car was bottoming, very dodgy.

The only downside was the rough ,narrow track leading to the cottage. This would not put us off booking this cottage again.Great garden area for the dog.Great conservatory.
