  • "Our holiday was great, the cottage was lovely, nicely decorated with lots of pretty additions."

It was comfortable and well appointed with plenty of room for us all. We would definitely recommend it and revisit.

  • "We had a lovely time in this cottage and with three generations it was ideal, with the addition of the snug for grandparents to escape."

The kitchen had more than enough crockery, cutlery etc which meant the dishwasher didn't have to go on after every meal. The beds were very comfortable. Beware if you order an infant package request isn't made clear by Sykes to the owner. Suggest you contact very helpful owner to confirm.

  • "Arfor was ideal for our family 'get together' break."

It has more facilities than many family homes, it is reasonably spacious and very comfortable. The garden is enclosed and safe for children and dogs. The conservatory was a great bonus; the weather wasn't warm enough to use the barbecue and eat outside. The owner is very friendly and extremely helpful. There really is only space for 2 cars to park off-road. We saw dolphins on two occasions off Newquay. We would love to return one day.

  • "We have had a truly fabulous holiday."

The cottage has been renovated to a wonderful standard, is cosy, comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. It has a beautiful enclosed garden and its setting in a country lane makes for a peaceful and serene stay. The cottage was very dog friendly and was surrounded by dog friendly beaches which our dogs just loved. I can't recommend this cottage and the friendly owners enough. We can't wait to go back at some point.

  • "Visited Arfor several times with the family, owner is very happy to meet any needs and the best recommendation is we keep coming back which is why we chose it to keep safe this year but still have our usual cottage holiday."

Arfor is situated in a lovely quiet location but very accessible to the nearby towns. Beautiful area to explore with plenty to do, see and experience. Lots of places to eat to suit all price ranges and the best honey ice cream you'll find anywhere. Suprised there was no need to wear masks in shops but social distancing was strictly enforced and felt safe wgerever we went

Great location, beautiful scenery, highly maintained cottage with everything you could possibly need. Only a few minutes from some fantastic dog friendly beaches and little villages and towns. We had some great nights just star gazing in the garden and then snuggled up with the real fire - wonderful.

Perfect for my children who were studying for exams. We had no hot water on Easter Sunday and the owners got someone out on to sort it out within a couple of hours. Excellent response!

  • "Arfor cottage is comfortable, home from home."

The wood burner was especially welcome as we had chilly but bright November days. The local beaches were gorgeous and easily accessible. There is limited parking at the cottage, we had 3 cars to park and we really struggled and had to leave the car out on the county lane (very fast intermittent traffic as road straight). The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The kitchen well equipped but take your own sharp knife if your cooking at home. Lovely enclosed garden. Overall, recommended cottage for quiet family holiday.

  • "Arfor cottage is a comfortable warm base for exploring the West Wales coastal resorts that are not over commercialised and offer a more relaxed holiday with interests such as dolphin watching, tours, waterfalls, vineyards, etc."

Because of the location of the cottage, day trips to Tenby and the Pembrokeshire coast are within easy reach by car. I would personally recommend Arfor cottage and the New Quay area for any family holiday as there are interests available for both young and old in the local area.

  • "Lovely cottage - very spacious and had two great bathrooms."

Fabulous view of the fields and lovely sunsets. Aberaeron was onLY 3 miles away and well worth the short journey. The owners have provided lots of board games for the kids to enjoy and there are plenty of books to read. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the utility room was really useful. There is just about room for two cars on the drive (Mazda cx5 and an Astra estate) if you pull them in far and park them at an angle - the locals zip down too fast for them to be safe parked on the road. I would suggest you bring a flat sheet with you, if you like to use one (the beds had a base sheet and duvet ). It's also not got wifi (my error - I hadn't looked properly) but free wifi can be found outside the tourist information places (unless it rains, when apparently it stops working properly ). We had a great break, and this was a fabulous cottage in a location which meant we could get around to most places. We'd love to stay here again.

  • "Arfor is a very comfortable, beautiful cottage that we were very sad to leave."

Everything was to the highest standard and we fell in love with the cottage, and the area. We had 2 cars with us, and as the road outside is narrow, we struggled to get them both off road so a bit more parking space would be useful. Never been to the area before but we will definately return when the weather improves and would recommend Arfor to anyone.

  • "Arfor is a wonderful house in a lovely location."

It's very difficult to find holiday homes which take three dogs, so it was great to find such a superb house that took them. As there is no wifi, you depend on the DVD in the evening, it would be nice if it had a remote control. The garden was great for the dogs & it was lovely & enclosed, ( if you are a dog owner you know how difficult it is to find houses with enclosed gardens) but it would have been great if there was just a small fence at the end of the garden, I know it didn't really lead anywhere, but if you have a inquisitive dog it could be a problem. We had a great holiday & would highly recommend Arfor to others.

The only negatives were the grass could have done with cutting it obviously hadn't been done for at least two weeks when we arrived. The other thing was the bathroom needs a brighter light.Minor things but would have made it perfect.Would definitely like to stay there again.A great area.

  • "The cottage exceeded our expectations."

It was larger and more comfortable than I realised when I booked it - a real bonus. Bright and airy inside, finished to a really high standard and great communication from the owner who contacted us before we left home. A lovely contrast to some cottages we have stayed in in Wales. We saw dolphins in New Quay & enjoyed squid & chips there and Abaraeron was interesting too. A really wet and misty day was contrasted by a day on lovely Cei beach the next day.
