Good standard of accommodation and very clean. Only thing missing is a coffee table! Nice dog walk on the field and a longer walk around the village if wanted. Village shop sells most things and the pub does good food.

The only thing that would improve it for me would be a larger fridge, especially in this brilliant weather! Great location with a good pub in walking distance. Well placed to visit alot of local attractions. We had a lovely stay thank you.

Milk and biscuits left by the owner which was A nice touch. Loved the log burner which we used one of the evenings. Not much in local vicinity so be prepared to have to drive out.

  • "Such a lovely cottage within easy travelling to some great places, amongst which is the National Ironworks Museum, super place for all the family and its free of charge to visit."

It was well below freezing when we stayed but we were cozy and warm, especially with the little log burner, lots of logs supplied with no additional charge. There were just 2 of us and a dog but plenty of room for 4 as the cottage has 2 bedrooms each with en suite.

  • "The property was clean & facilities great."

The private courtyard was a lovely to sit & have a cuppa or eat. Bedrooms are nicely done both with ensuites; one a P-shape bath/shower & the other a walk-in shower. Lounge & Kitchen are just the right size cozy but not cramped. It was too warm for the log fire but we aim to go back this winter/spring so perhaps we'll test it then. It's dog friendly with a big field onsite & many walks near-by. Great base in which to see the area or nice enough to recharge with a relaxing night it or visit to the local Marstons' pub (walking distance) which is under new management. Local shop wasn't too expensive & stocked some local produce too - prices for everyday items weren't ridiculous. Finally, owners are also lovely & friendly. All round - great & we will return!

  • "A lovely comfortable stay in this super cottage."

Very well appointed and everything we could need including washing machine and freezer. The problem we had with the shower (running very hot) was attended to by the owners very swiftly. Our golden retriever loved running around in the big field. The lovely village of Knockin was a great location for accessing the delights of Shropshire (Hawkstone Follies; Blists Hill Victorian Town & Ironbridge, Nesscliffe Country Park; The British Ironwork Sculpture Park, Shrewsbury town) and mid-Wales (Offa's Dyke Path, Llangollen Canal and Pontcysyllte aqueduct). We truly felt that a week wasn't long enough and that we'd only scratched the surface of what this area has to offer.
