  • "Came to shepherds hut last year and had an amazing time so some of us came to the dairy this year and yet again had the best time."

Perfect getaway for my girlfriends 25th! Will be coming back next year too!

  • "Excellent weeks holiday, You could always find something that’s not to your taste or is in the wrong place but I have to say that all in all this barn is fantastic, the only criticism was that we purposely booked the property as we were travelling with older parents in their 80’s, the barn was great, all flat no stairs, even a seat for the shower but all the seating in the living area was too low, not a huge problem as we took a couple of tub chairs from the bedroom but then had to lift a small sofa out and put the chairs in, I spoke to the owner about this and he said that feedback was all good, can I say that this small problem did not have any impact on our holiday, the place is beautiful and we hope to return, thanks for having us and making our stay memorable."

  • "The Dairy was one of the best stays our family has ever had."

The house was more spacious then we expected and although their were other families, we felt plenty of privacy. The hot tub is great after a long day of adventuring and the sheep for neighbours was amazing. All the best equipment and a super clean house with a great host too. I’d recommend everyone visit the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, Lake Vyrnwy and Lake Bala. If you can manage, We’d recommend to take the trip to Barmouth Beach and have The Mermaid fish and chips too.

All rooms clean and tidy. Plenty of space in the property and ample parking. Great for families with toddlers. Already thinking/planning of a return stay booking all 3 of the barns as a big family visit.

  • "Absolutely wonderful place!"

! Loved it. Kids loved it. If only you could ensure there was going to be sunshine. Few minor things to consider: - getting some essentials in like sugar / foil. - also, getting some of those door guards for the pvc doors - the strips that go down the length of the door to stop little fingers getting trapped! Wind blew and door shut trapping my sons finger! Nearly needed a hospital trip… Anyways. Just a suggestion!

  • "Lovely house, great setting and excellent host Huw."

Thank you! There were one or two problems with the shower controls, but I know Huw will fix them quickly (and turn the hot water down several degrees!). Other suggestions: the instructions for turning on the TV are not really that useful - it took us some time to achieve it by accident. What was disappointing was the "shared" games room - which was occupied somewhat noisily 24/7 by the other "sharers". We never got in there at all. Some sound proofing at the door would help one ignore it. I note at least one other similar comment (most of us are not into sharing with strangers when on holiday.) Overall a lovely place to stay and would most certainly recommend (except for the "shared" features!) ps - Evening meals in the Railway in Penybontfawr were excellent as were the Fish and Chips from Eagles in Llanfyllin.

Nice to get away for a few nights and glad we chose this beautiful place. Would definitely recommend and we are 100% coming back! The only thing I could say is that if you want to go out somewhere with walking distance you may struggle, but there is some lovely walls nearby. Thank you so much again.

  • "Y Beudy was comfortable and cozy."

My family of 8, we all had our own bedroom and our own bathroom. Lovely fluffy dressing gowns which we used after the hot tub which was gorgeous. It said provided tea towels but there was only one. The picture on Syke cottages of Y Beudy implied there was a games room for us, but when we went to use it, it is actually joined to another barn as well so the games room is between the two barns, but this is not stated, and the other party in the other barn commandeered it. But would definitely stay there again, the owner came to see us and welcomed us and asked if there was anything we needed which was a nice touch.

  • "This is our 2nd visit to the Dairy, as before, its a beautiful property with wonderful scenery and very relaxing."

Only a few niggles: shower in downstairs room kept flooding, could do with some shade in the garden and also over hot tub, the ovens were not clean and a dirty tray was left from previous occupants. However we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend, thank you

Thank you for your feedback. We apologise that you had an issue with the shower, we are looking into getting a shower screen to avoid this happening again. We have also mentioned the cleanliness issues to the cleaning team for them to bear in mind in the future. We are very happy you had a lovely time and would love to see you back again. • "The cottage was in a quite and very enjoyable location."

The premises was as described although the pictures make it looks smaller. beautifully laid out and presented and provided all the space a group of 8 adults needed. The hot tub was a bonus. The only real gripes we had was the beds need to be upgraded as the matrasses weren't as comfortable as they should be and the bathrooms although elegantly done needed a shower curtain or better drainage as shower water would spread and leave an inch of water. Either that or place a big squeegee in each bathroom. Would still come back for a return visit.

If you looking for somewhere to put your feet up then this is it. Huw was on hand if you needed anything. Great host(5 stars). As for the facilities, The hot tub is great to use even when it’s cold outside, there is your own bbq as well while having bathrooms off each room gives you the privacy you want when needed especially if you are all jumping into the hot tub. Local towns are a 10min drive with bigger cities 30min away or so if you need them. Overall, just what we needed. Will be returning.
