Lovely decor throughout, with everything you need for a relaxing family break. Kitchen had more than enough equipment you need if you chose to cook. Would highly recommend this place. Comfortable stay was had by us all. Theres a Shop just across the road for anything you need and short walk into the very interesting village with lots food places and take aways to try.

  • "We had a brilliant week here, very clean and tidy, lovely gardens and area."

Beds very comfortable, owners helpful and friendly and the welcome pack was much appreciated thank you. We will definitely book to go back to Arnant as there is so much still to do around here. Walk about 5 minutes to reach the village shops, pubs and restaurants and which we found everyone to be friendly.

  • "Garden comfort wise was a let down, such a hot week and couldn’t sit out, needs a parasol."

And table and chairs instead of a pub bench, neighbours dog kept in a cage barked incessantly good my dogs didn’t bark back! Need fans in house, location was brilliant and a really good base for travelling, kitchen well equipped, good Wi-Fi, could only park at back because residents had took up all the space at front. Well equipped property .

  • "Beautiful house with everything you need and a few extras not usually provided which is great."

Modern furnishings and all mod cons and comfortable bed. Heating was great too, timer set so the house was always cosy and we never felt cold. Lovely back garden with a picnic table which was a sun trap and a very handy bike storage shed. Also had a small gate to access the parking at the back of the house.

  • "Unfortunately upon arrival we could see straight away that the garden wasn’t secure for dogs and being close to a main road this was dangerous."

Husband had to make as secure as possible. Initial appearance of property inside was very clean and tidy with a good welcome pack. Shame there was two dogs next door who continually barked. Got chilly in evening but no way of putting any heating on, although in cottage brochure it says that heating can be put on. Also no instructions for cooker or heating as stipulated in brochure. First night was the most uncomfortable and painful sleep, Forced to change beds, although all beds uncomfortable. Took mattress off in morning to find both double beds were broken. My husband had to make one bed out of the two beds, just to make it bearable!! When moving spare bed dirty underwear found underneath!! Oven door didn’t close properly, so hard to cook food properly. I do believe the beds, heating, hedge and instructions have been mentioned before on trip advisor, back in June 2022. This was reported to the owner by email whilst we were still there, but got no response at all and still haven’t. Such a shame as the property is ideally situated, clean and has most of the amenities required for a stress free break. Hope these are put right before the next guests arrive. Look forward to a response S Mellett

  • "We had a great holiday and the house was fantastic."

Only downside was the mattresses need renewing on all the beds, very creaky. Next door neighbour has three dogs that bark quite a lot . We found it difficult to sleep. Great location for Bala, Barmouth and Harlech. Beaches are spectacular. Will visit again!

Ideal location for walking into Dolgellau. Quiet road. Would recommend and return.

  • "The house was spotlessly clean and really well stocked with cookware/glasses etc."

The beds were unfortunately very creaky so if either of us moved in the night it woke the other one up which was a shame as both couples didn't sleep well throughout the holiday because of this. The only other issue we had is that the next door neighbors have several dogs in the back yard which barked constantly from 7am and every time one of us opened the back door it started the barking again which was a real irritation throughout the holiday. For this reason I wouldn't book this property again which is a shame as I know you can't do anything about neighbours but it would put me off.

  • "We have had a great holiday in Dolgellau."

The house is exceptionally clean and tidy and has all the facilities we needed. It is decorated to a very high standard. The owners were more than helpful if we needed any advice. Dolgellau is a great place..there are some quirky little shops in the town, nice cafes and pubs and plenty of walks and mountains locally. We also found plenty of things further afield for 3 teenagers to do..Zipworld was a great adventure and Abersoch good for surfing. There are beautiful beaches closer..Harlech, Twywn, and Barmouth were favourites. The scenery from Arnant is spectacular. It was a great house to come back to after a busy day of activities.

  • "We parked on the road on the front side of the house, but there has been no space all week to park at the back of the property."

Parking seems to be ok if you are not back too late from a trip out. The property was very comfortable, we had a cake and message waiting for us from the owners which was a nice touch. Everything was easy to find in the kitchen and I soon worked out the oven, hob, etc. Lots of storage in the bedrooms. Internet was a bit hit and miss at times. Wonderful base for exploring, Barmouth was beautiful, the precipice walk was breathtaking, Caernarfon castle was well worth a visit. Dolgellau is beautiful. Overall we have really enjoyed our first visit to wales.
