About the property

Settled amidst the beauty of the Berwyn Mountains, encompassed by rolling countryside surroundings, is this wonderful bungalow, Dol Y Bont.

In the perfect position for exploring North and Mid Wales as well as Shropshire, this property is wonderfully suited to a family seeking an action-packed escape.

Park up on the private driveway and soak in your superb surroundings before entering into the equally impressive abode; gather together within the sitting room where a feature stone wall takes centre stage amongst an electric woodburning-effect fire, or carry your conversations through into the spacious dining room where you can enjoy a refreshing beverage while planning your fun-filled trip.

The dining room also boasts a sofa and a television, perfect for keeping the little ones entertained while the chef of the group takes to the kitchen to prepare a delicious homemade meal with the assistance of the good range of appliances at hand.

At the end of each day of adventure seek rest in one of three homely bedrooms, made up of a master super-king-size, a king-size and a twin, offering a flexible sleeping arrangement for a variety of group needs as well as ample storage space for your personal belongings.

The cottage also hosts both a cloakroom and a bathroom with a bath and a separate walk-in shower, so you can choose how best to prepare for your day before stepping out onto the decking and soaking in the sunshine with a cup of coffee in hand.

Make the most of your glorious garden by dining alfresco while your canine companions play on the lawn and the little ones observe the horses in the neighbouring field, or explore more of your surroundings on a leisurely stroll.

The local village of Penybontfawr offers all you could need for a week-long stay including a Post Office with a shop for picking up any essentials and a welcoming pub for a hearty meal after a day of exploring.

There are plenty of opportunities for scenic adventure on your doorstep, with the walking village of Llangynog being just a short car ride away where you will also find the Revolution Mountain Bike Park where you can try your hand at downhill mountain biking, or for those seeking to explore more leisurely, you will also find walking, cycling and birdwatching all around.

Venture out to Lake Bala for a relaxing day of fishing, with watersports such as white water rafting being available here too, or visit the beautiful Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall for the ultimate idyll of a day trip.
