  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cae Glas."

The property is in an ideal location for exploring the Peninsula and Pwllheli town centre is within easy walking distance. Aberdaron, Abersoch, Criccieth, Porthmadog and the Snowdonia National Park are all easily accessible, and Llanbedrog beach and Plas Glyn y Weddw are worth a visit. The bungalow was like home from home and spotlessly clean, spacious and very well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. The beautiful roses and delicious bara brith cake were a thoughtful welcome gift for our arrival. A couple of minor suggestions would be for a hairdryer to be provided ( we couldn't find one) and for a shower curtain in the bathroom shower area to stop the floor getting wet when using the rain shower. Other than that, everything was perfect and we would definitely consider coming back!

  • "Beautiful and spacious property in an excellent location."

The garden was wonderful for our daughter to run around. Immaculately clean and a friendly helpful owner who provided us with more towels (toddler + heatwave = going through towels like hot dinners!) and helped to direct us to some rapid EV chargers as we’d really struggled to locate available/working ones. The property is very well set up for young kids (no stairs, plenty of space to run around, minimal hazards). Also, some beautiful G Plan and Ercol furniture around the house! Could not have asked for a better property or ease of check in. An hour later check out time would have been easier - packing a house, feeding kids, stripping beds, emptying a fridge and wrangling a toddler put the house before 9am was a challenge, but I’m sure if we had asked the owner ot wouldn’t have been an issue to have a slightly later check out.

  • "The property was extremely comfortable and had everything you could possibly need."

The garden was great for the kids and it was far enough back off the main road to not hear traffic noise. I can’t honestly fault much. Everything you need was provided in the property (and more). Pwllheli is only a short walk so the location is ideal. My only criticism is the curtains were practically useless even with the blinds drawn underneath. They didn’t really keep much light out of the bedrooms in the morning. Also I feel that a 9am checkout is too early. I know longer was required due to covid, but now seems a little too early now there are no restrictions in place anywhere. I would however definitely recommend this property as a base and would happily stay again.

Plenty of parking, and in a good position for exploring the surrounding area. The owner is friendly and helpful, and quickly sorted out a minor issue we had. • "This property was better than my own home!"

Every facility was high quality, lots of useful gadgets in the kitchen, plenty of crockery and cutlery, they even provided washing up liquid, a tea towel and oven gloves. The bungalow was tastefully decorated throughout with some original local artwork on display. The furniture was solid and it felt like a home from home. For anyone with mobility issues, everything was on one level. The backdoor had a grab trail to get outside, over the base of the double-glazed door. There was an outdoor table and 6 chairs plus 2 more further up the garden. In summer, as this is a bungalow, you get sun on the patio all day, which is a bonus. The garden is well maintained and restful with a good variety of plants and a large back lawn. The only downside is that people walking on the road behind the property can see in, but very few people go that way. Two of the bedrooms face the road but this isn't an issue as the road isn't that noisy and the bungalow is set back. The beds all have very high mattresses and must be perfect for those who like a really soft bed. I found them a little too soft but not a major problem. Both bathrooms were spotless and had great rain showers along with a handheld shower head. The main bathroom had a jacuzzi but didn't manage to test that out. On one day we had an issue with the hot water. Within minutes of texting the owner, she was on site to check out the issue and within the hour a plumber had been to repair the fault. On arrival we were welcomed by a fresh bouquet of flowers and a large homemade bara brith. Delicious! Such a welcome makes all the difference. As to location, the area behind the bungalow is really quiet which made it perfect for relaxing outside. Getting on and off the property is easy as it's off the service road rather than the main Pwllheli/Abersoch road, which can be bumper to bumper. The nearest shops (Spa or Lidl), English language church and the centre of Pwllheli are a mere 10 to 15 minutes walk away. Llanbedrog and Abersoch were about 20 minutes away in the other direction. Overall, this is an excellent property and I'd happily stay there again.

Stunning scenery and lovely beaches close by. Generally very happy with the property, lovely big garden that is well maintained. Spacious indoors. Plenty of crockery and cooking items. More cutlery would help as need more when using the dishwasher economically. Extra chair in lounge is uncomfortable, as other people have mentioned. No shower curtain in main bathroom that meant the floor became very wet and mat saturated. These are only small issues and would not prevent us from staying again.

The house had lovely, huge gardens and lots of space inside. The beds were really comfy and there were enough hangers to put all your clothes on. The house was in a good spot in order to walk into the town! Would definitely stay in this house again (If it was not in pwhelli)! Minor problems were: there was no hairdryer, a radio would have been nice, the garden furniture was scruffy and very rusty, and just some garden and beach toys for the kids. Mainly to make the house more like a home! The flowers and the bara brith were a really nice gesture, and the advice from Mrs Jones was useful! Thank you!
