  • "Second time and pool, sauna and steam room and showers in the basement was a bonus after swimming in the sea this time as not open due to lock down last summer."

    Plus with new window being put in this winter it will be getting even better. Plus love the new seating in the kitchen dinner.

  • "Very comfortable, warm and cosy apartment."

    Superb location with amazing 270 degree views from the lounge. Across the road from the beach with easy access. Variety of walks in several directions. Walking distance into town with many shops, several supermarkets and eateries. Due to being over 4 floors with 14 stairs to each, not for anyone who has mobility issues.

    Many thanks for your feedback Nicola, much appreciated. Agreed the accommodation became a little tired due to Covid19 various issues including not being able to travel from England to Wales for a substantial amount of time. We have embarked on a refurbishment programme including new kitchen table, chairs, bar stools, new sofa in Lounge and new sofabad with upgraded towels and bedding. In addition all windows and seafront opening doors are being replaced over winter 2021/22 so should be totally refreshed for next season which we're really looking forward to. Property Owner

  • "Fabulous accommodation, exceptionally well equipped, and views from all rooms absolutely stunning, we loved it."

    It was, however, very disappointing that neither set of French doors could be used, particularly as the weather was very warm. (A few window locks were also broken so some windows wouldn’t open either). It’s situated conveniently close to the town, yet at the same time far enough away to feel quiet and tranquil, and we found it to be the ideal place from which to explore the stunningly beautiful Lleyn peninsula. Alwenna, the manager, was very friendly and helpful.

  • "Fantastic location for walking into town, to the harbour and the lovely dog friendly beach to the right and off through the dunes."

    Great stony beach nearly to ourselves most days. Could look out at those views for ever. Great sandy beaches near by and loads to do in the area. Roof is still sand bags but all worked though the storm we had but water did come through master bedroom doors but easy to mop up in the morning and was very stormy that night. The stair get easier by the end of the week. Kids and ourselves loved this location and plan to return some time. Lady that shows you around is really helpful too.

  • "Firstly you get a very warm welcome from Alwenna who shows you around."

    Fabulous apartment with outstanding views of coast, sea and Snowdonia mountain range, great location, very spacious comfortable apartment. Every room you step into you can see stunning views that takes your breath away, the apartment could do with some general maintainence and redecoration. On going Leak from sun terrace conservatory has left stains and a smell of damp- once we had been there for a few days with hot temperatures and windows open the smell dissipated. The sandbags are unsightly but a necessacity to try and reduce water ingress. Water ingress above French doors in kitchen- this was wet to the touch and the upvc trim is bowing, all doors need attention as are no longer weather proof and daylight can be seen through joins, wind whistles through which ended with a disturberd sleep over several nights. Overall clean but does need a deep clean to get into all the corners, lots of dog hairs in the master bathroom which was odd. All door and window locks need attention as stiff or cannot unlock, all are very difficult to open and close probably due to seafront location. All skirting boards need repainting which makes the apartment look a little unloved/unclean, the walls could do with a coat of paint. Bedrooms very well furnished as was the lounge. Kitchen breakfast bar stools are too high so not useable but there is a kitchen table and chairs so not really needed as there was only 3 people staying. A fantastic apartment just a little tired I would give this 3 stars but with some money and effort it would easily be a 5 star accomadation. I have left this feedback for the owners so they are aware. We would book this again with friends (maybe not winter as we don't fancy high winds and lots of rain whilst in this apartment) and hope the owner rectifies some of the issues.

  • "Entering Penthouse 18 is one of those wow moments, the sea views are amazing, getting better with each floor."

    On arrival you are greeted by Alwenna, she guides you around the apartment, she is friendly, informative and makes herself available should you have any problems. The apartment is set over 4 floors, this means stairs, lots of stairs, the health app. On my phone recorded between 20 to 30 flights climbed per day. Having been recently decorated all rooms are in excellent order, beds and furniture are all extremely comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. As the living room is on the level above the kitchen there is a fire escape from this room, it did surprise me however that there is no sigh on the door to indicate its purpose. From the living room, stairs take you into a conservatory on the roof, a nice feature should the weather turn, when we were there the conservatory was surrounded by sandbags with a temporary drainpipe across the roof, apart from looking unsightly this could present a trip hazard. Two car spaces, (I don’t understand Sykes description “one car and a small boat” we had 2 large 4x4’s) are assigned to the Apartment one being inside a garage, the carpark has CCTV surveillance. The location of this apartment is hard to beat, it is on the promenade with the beach access opposite, even better, this access point is the boundary marking the start of the Dog friendly section. Overall an excellent Apartment, I have already booked again.

  • "The apartment which we stayed in was lovely, the set up and the space was exactly what we required."

    However if I could advise you In what would of made the stay better it would of been for the cleanliness of the property to be higher. I swept on the first day of being there due to there being some hairs and other bits on the kitchen floor. The bathrooms and floors were not as clean as I would of liked them to of been. This is the only issue I had. Everything else was lovely, if you ensure the cleanliness is at a higher standard I feel people will enjoy the stay more.

  • "Arrived home today after 3 weeks at no 18 the Penthouse flat Pwllheli."

    We have previously been here for long stays over the past two years. I would like to claim compensation against the following eqipment failures that were not fit for purpose.. Three wasted mornings waiting in for an appliance engineer to repair, The dish Washer which was unusable for 10 days. I did not book for a dish washing holiday. The spin dryer broke in the washing machine and also the electric kettle needed replacement. Your representative did replace the kettle within 2 hours . She also did her very best to assist regarding the other problems The large fridge freezer is likely to break down soon according to the appliance enginner and requires a new control panel costing £200.00. The owner has been informed. There are many other potential impending problems. John Mellor

  • "The property had a bad smell in the lounge and some windows / patio doors were non functional."

    Other than that, the property was nice and the location was excellent. Although we really enjoyed our stay, I'm not sure I'd book this property again as we found it slightly awkward to live in. Going up two flights of stairs to the lounge was tiresome so we hung out in the kitchen mostly. As there were 5 of us staying in the property and only 1 key supplied, someone had to stay close to the intercom which bizarrely was on the ground floor, you couldn't hear it in the lounge area and walking down two flights of stairs to press the open button was annoying. The kitchen area also had working patio doors which was nice to relax in with the sea breeze. The conservatory on the roof gets extremely hot and wasn't that useful however the roof area was nice to relax on with a glass of wine in the evening. We didn't get the opportunity to use the pool or gym but they looked nice. Parking was sometimes an issue as other residents didn't respect bays however it wasn't too much of a problem in the end. Generally respectable property let down by some odd building design and maintenance issues. It is quirky though so if you don't mind stairs, it's worth a visit.
