"Lovely cabin and warm welcome."
Hele had thought of everything we could possibly need.
The hot tub was a great facility and we lived all the animals on the site.
Only improvement would be fixing the very creaky headboard

"Really awesome log cabin trip!"
Hele is an incredible host and even offered us an extra night free simply because there was nobody booked in after us for a couple of days!
The farm is fantastic with a load of friendly animals and even a little stone circle at the top of the hill to watch the sunrise from!
Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend!

"Wonderful log cabin, warm, spacious and welcoming."
Host Hele was most helpful even turning out on Christmas day when the hot water pressure dropped. Hot tub at a good temperature as was the heating in the cabin. Cabins set far enough apart not to create a disturbance to neighbours. Beautiful area we enjoyed many walks including walking part of the Montgomery canal.

"The cabin itself was everything we thought it would be, it was the surroundings that we were disappointed with, we knew the cabin was on a working farm but there was no mention of this being approx."
50 yrds from the cabin, which was more like a building site than a working farm, the pictures in the advertisement were taken in a deceptive way, the reality was completely different. On the Saturday we got there about 4pm where a shed was being demolished in the building site area 50 yards away from the cabin/patio, we were told they would be gone within the hour, they left at 6, which we thought ok not a problem then on the Sunday a digger started about 9 till 5, other vehicles turned up during the day, we felt that every time we moved the people that were there looked up, making us uncomfortable using the hot tub. Mon at 9 a saw/angle grinder started till about 5, sawing then chopping wood all day, again other vehicles turned up so unable to use the hot tub again during the day. Tuesday was raining and it was quiet all day so on the Weds we felt comfortable to use the hot tub after lunch as there was no activity in the morning, then 2 men were lingering about, one of them drive past the cabin and let on so still felt ok, 10 minutes later the same man started to work his way down the lawn at the side of the cabin with a lawn mower, surely this should be done during the cross over of tenant on the Saturday?, as soon as we went in he stopped mowing which we thought was very strange. Thursday was quiet so went out again on the Friday afternoon at 3pm a JCB turned up and started up the slope to the cabin, I had to jump out the hot tub, we could also hear the JCB in the cabin with the windows shut. We got ready and went out because we were that disappointed. We only felt comfortable using the hot tub after it went dark, nowhere in the advertisement did it say there was a building area 50 yards from the cabin and hot tub. We feel the pictures in the advert do not represent a true version of the property. We normally book through cottages4you and have stayed on a working farm before but never experienced building work and people within 50 yards of the property, we hire detached properties because we like the isolation. I will be sending pictures of the closeness of the day to day activity to the cabin, we are really disappointed with this holiday and feel we could not recommend using your site unless we hear some feedback, we also feel that it needs to be made clear in the advert that the hot tub is in clear view of all workers/deliveries and anyone else staying in the other 2 cabins, the path is right at the side of The George.

"The log cabin was situated in a lovely location-in a small-holding in the middle of the welsh countryside."
The cabins are run by a lovely family who were not intrusive but were around/available for anything we might need.
There are plenty of beautiful walks around the area, many castles and country parks to visit.
If however you just want a couple of days relaxing in/around the cabin this property is recommended-
With barbecue and hot tub for your own private use included-you could quite easily stay on site for a couple of days.
Indeed sitting in the hot tub in the early hours looking at the stars was a really simple but fantastic thing to do.
The ‘George’ sits in a small-holding which is surrounded by sheep and chickens and even rheas(South American ostrich)
So there is plenty to do if you have a small family-my daughter loved feeding them.
All in all a fantastic trip-would love to return in the winter months and use the log burner in the lounge!
For me this is a proper log cabin-rustic and cosy with all the facilities you need.Loved it!

"Had the most incredible long weekend away."
The cabin is so cosy and pretty, set among beautiful scenery. Hele was so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help. We were surprised that the cabin was stocked with so many things such as herbs and spices, oil, tea, coffee, toilet roll etc. Didn’t expect to find any of that in self catering accommodation. It’s in a great location, out of the way from everything but close enough to visit places for days out. We visited 3 nearby castles, a museum, pubs, walk along canal, visited a tea room. You can make it what you want. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be visiting again.

"We’ve stayed at The George about 5 times now because we love it so much."
It is our little haven to get away from it all. We literally walk through the door, take a deep breath.... and relax. It is a home from home, it has everything you need in the kitchen including an array of herbs and spices, the massive bed is lovely and comfy, the log burner is great and of course the hot tub......
The hospitality from Hele and family is warm and friendly, they’re so helpful and accomodating.

"We have stayed at this same cabin before, about 18 months ago."
The first time around, we arrived and it was spotless, we couldn't complain about anything. The owner came to greet us on arrival and we didn't see her until the day we left (a week later).
The second time, it was showing some pretty bad signs of wear and tear and the cleanliness wasn't all that great, especially in the hot tub. This time, the owner had people working on the what I would have to say is a "yard style area" in diggers, but they didn't seem to be doing anything productive, and she was just around the property on various days just burning things in barrels. The track leading up to the cabins now has GIANT pot holes in, so if like me, you have a normal family saloon car, the bottom of your car scrapes along the ground.

"The property and location was ideal ,the only gripe was being in a wheelchair it was fine getting in and out of the property but as for bathing it was a nightmare !"
impossable to use the shower, needed help getting in/ out of the bath, could not reach the light pull.so bathroom not disabled friendly at all,No grab rails at all.Other than that (and not being able to reach cupboards with plates) it was a lovely holiday let. Watching the sheep grassing right in front of you, rabbits hoping around, squirrels jumping from tree to tree and at late evening watching for wild deer it was bliss. the pend in bird were funny to watch when we left.So all in all a good holiday.

They were very friendly and on hand to help if and when we needed it! The cabin was excellent to meet our needs as my Husband is a full time active wheelchair user. The only problem we had is that the shower wasn’t a wheel in shower as promised but luckily we could get around this, they did supply a shower chair to help. Overall fantastic place, the cabin was gorgeous in the snow and people are fantastic :D would visit again!!!
