The property

Boasting a prime position within Montgomeryshire, Powys is this semi-detached holiday accommodation, Garn, found just a short drive away from the stunning Pistyll Rhaedr and the beautiful shores of Lake Vyrnwy.

Enjoying a real home from home ambiance from the outset, 12 Y Ddol is the perfect property for groups of families or friends to call home as they explore the area, popular with walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers and those alike.

On entering the property, you will find the kitchen, boasting a clever design combining a contemporary feel with a traditional-style, accompanied by a range of quality appliances, which is certain to encourage a spot of home cooking.

After making use of the electric oven, gas hob and large fridge/freezer to store your ingredients, gather your loved ones at the sleek bench-style dining table to delight in your home-cooked dish and plan the next day’s adventure.

Unwind for the evening within the sitting room, found at the end of the hallway and boasting a tranquil ambiance; look forward to sinking into the sofa and flicking through the channels of the TV before making your way to bed.

During balmy afternoons, be sure to open up the patio doors to spend some time within the garden, where you can light up the barbecue and enjoy a spot of alfresco dining, whilst younger guests of the group play on the trampoline and your canine companions roam the spacious lawn.

Once the evening draws to a close, retire to one of the three bedrooms, comprising of a king-size bedroom, a double bedroom and a single bedroom, together sleeping up to five people and served by the family bathroom with an elegant freestanding bath, for the indulgent soak after a busy day exploring.

If you do not feel like cooking one evening, discover the village’s pub, The Railway Inn, just a stone’s throw away, boasting a superb dining menu and a welcoming atmosphere; the village also plays host to a shop for picking up any essentials.

Just a short drive from here is Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, home to Wales’ highest waterfall and opportunities for exploring the captivating Berwyn Mountains.

Also near the cottage is the beautiful Lake Vyrnwy, where you can explore this hidden gem on foot or on two-wheels before delighting in afternoon tea at Lake Vyrnwy, which overlooks the lake.

For those bringing their bike along, head to the mountain bike trails near Dolgellau and the mountain bike centre at Llandegla or visit Lake Bala to discover watersport opportunities, including white water rafting.
