  • "Lovely clean and well equipped cottage."

Friendly owners who live next door. The only thing we would consider changing is the tv (which was quite small and did not have an HDMI port to attach our Firestick)

Tony and Cathy are excellent hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The little extras of milk, butter and Welsh cakes was a lovely touch. This was our second visit and are looking forward to going back in the future.

  • "Hen Bryn Bedw provided an enjoyable base for our holiday, The lounge."

kitchen/diner were spacious & well equipped; the bedrooms small with limited hanging facilities but comfortable beds albeit the singles are only 2ft - 6in wide. The garden is 100% secure with min. 2m walls surrounding. The lawn is raised on the left side which meant we were able to eat our meals at the garden table & enjoy the countryside view over the opposite wall. We had warm weather all week & the bungalow was plagued by flies. Repeated fly spray proved ineffective. We spoke to the owners, who live next door, they are aware of the problem but have not found a solution.

  • "This was the best cottage we have ever rented!"

. It felt like we were the first people to ever use it as it was so clean and well maintained, the level of equipment provided was exceptional, it was a real home from home. The owners Cathy and Tony live next door and were a great source of friendly information and help at any time. The pictures on the website do not do this cottage justice, the garden alone was amazing, it was totally enclosed, large, and private. It is paradise for pet owners! The cottage is not actually in the village, it is a couple of miles outside amidst farmland and is very quiet and peaceful, it is very well located for access to all the south west wales resorts and towns which take between 30mins and 1hr 10mins to reach. It was my first visit to this area and i was impressed by the beauty and diversity of what was on offer, we will definitely return again to this property. Many thanks to Cathy and Tony for such a lovely stay!

  • "Lovely property."

Garden ideal for our young dog as totally enclosed. The only slight downside was the bedrooms being on the small size.

They ensured we had milk in the fridge for when we arrived, so that we could enjoy a cuppa. All of the information we needed to ensure that we would be comfortable were supplied. We would very much enjoy staying at this venue again.

  • "The property was spotlessly clean."

The pictures don't tell you how warm and cosy the cottage is. Cathy and Tony were perfect hosts- just next door but never on the doorstep. Our dogs loved the space and you can tell Cathy and Tony are dog lovers/owners as everything was so dog friendly - from the flooring to the perfect garden. Plenty of walks from the front door , a short car drive or a bit further afield. We didn't eat out but plenty of shops to buy fresh produce.

  • "The cottage was very comfortable, with everything you could need."

The shower was powerful, the sofas very comfy, and the large enclosed garden was great for our dog (and if the weather had been a bit warmer we could have sat out there too!). This is a great region of Wales, you can visit the nearby coast with its pretty towns and dramatic clifftop walks, or spend time in the forests and hills surrounding the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the owners were very welcoming and helpful in finding local walks.

  • "What a wonderful cottage, scrupulously clean, warm, spacious and the enclosed garden is super safe for children and/or dogs."

The kitchen and living room are large and comfy, we all loved the reclining sofa seats! We had a couple of days of poor weather, so having enough chill out space for all of us was so helpful. Tony and Cathy have tried very hard to think of every single thing a guest might need - large and small - and they were wonderful hosts, on hand with advice and good ideas, but kept themselves to themselves for us to relax and enjoy the cottage. It's a great location for exploring the area and we had the best week of adventures. We were sorry to have to leave and are already looking for dates when we can go back.

An ideal retreat for couples or families, this property would appeal to those in need of relaxing getaway with plenty of outdoor opportunities.

After parking up in the ample off road parking, you enter the property into the living area, expressing a light and airy feel with the high apex ceilings and french doors which draw light in.

On a slightly raised level, the kitchen/diner comes well-equipped with a range of appliances, allowing the chef amongst the group to prepare delicious home-cooked meals.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a WC and small utility area with washer and dryer, handy if your trails venture off on a muddier route.

On the other side of the property are three bedrooms in a variety of layouts, including a double, twin and single.

Opposite is the family bathroom with bath and shower over, so you decide how to best prepare for your day.

The garden can be accessed via a set of french doors and offers a private spot for you to relax with a glass of wine or a good book.

The enclosed nature of the garden is also ideal for those holidaying with pets and/or small children.

Take a walk along the banks of the River Teifi or the fields that surround it, appreciating the Welsh countryside in all its glory.

The market town of Llanybydder is two miles away and offers pub and eateries, plus a couple of small stores for provision.

For a wider choice of shops, just ten minutes down the road is the market town of Lampeter, housing a number of small quirky shops and two sizeable supermarkets, while the county town of Carmarthen is half an hour drive away and offers a busy shopping centre and several well-known high street stores.

The location of this property also makes it ideal for visiting the coastal towns of Aberaeron, New Quay and Llangrannog, or the southern Cambrian mountains and the wonderful Brechfa Forest, which is great for walks and mountain biking, is less than a 10 minute drive up the road.
