Mrs Spiers “We chose this property for a family holiday with 2 kids and 4 elderly grandparents.”
it was absolutely perfect. the living accommodation upstairs was all open plan so whichever room you were in, you were all together e.g. cooking, watching TV, reading... despite being open plan it was warm and cosy with super insulation and 2 gas fires. the kitchen was well equipped and there was an extra fridge and freezer downstairs which is ideal if like us you have a grocery delivery on day 1. the view from the living area was lovely and we ate our meals either watching waves crash over the sea walls or the sun setting over the sea. there was a stair lift which made life much easier for the oldest grandparent and a large wetroom the size of a bedroom! the bedrooms were clean and warm and the beds very comfortable. we all slept better than we do at home. there was a bath in the family bedroom and a utility room with washer, dryer, fridge and freezer. one bedroom even has patio doors to the outdoor area, which was ideal if you have a dog. We didnt use the outdoor area but this would be ideal for summer stays. the location is lovely. barmouth is a nice little town with lots to see and do in the surrounding areas. staff at the campsite are very friendly and helpful and any problems are fixed immediately. whats more, you can walk to the beach through the campsite in about 5 mins. all in all, great for large families or those needing disabled facilities.

- Ms Marks, September 2019Mrs Tratt “The house was clean fresh and modern with everything that you could need to make your stay comfortable.”
The stairlift was what attracted me to the property because I have mobility problems. and having the wet room as well was an added bonus. There was so much space and a beautiful view from the terrace. The staff were friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay.
- Mrs Tratt, September 2019Mrs Boag “Stunning accommodation with extremely helpful, friendly staff.”

- Mrs Boag, July 2019Mrs Wilson “The holiday park was perfect.”

Loved the house plenty of room for us found the cooker a little challenging with it being digital and only found the instructions on the last day they were not in the instruction book other from this I would highly recommend this beautiful house for a wonderful holiday
- Mrs Hodgson, April 2019Mrs Taylor “Absolutely beautiful house, finished to a very high standard!”
lovely campsite with friendly staff! in walking distance from everything you could want!
- Mrs Taylor, March 2019Mr Kay “Fantastic cottage for a week for 3 couples & our dog.”
Being a new build it was ideal with plenty of bathrooms & provision for disabled clients was included. Minor teething issues are inevitable in a new property but the owners were fantastic - really helpful & receptive to feedback as to how to finalise details in the cottage. Despite Storm Gareth we had a great week with lots of walking & cycling from the door. Top notch property very reasonably priced.
- Mr Kay, March 2019Mrs Peters “Excellent value for money.”
House layout perfect, with areas for different generations to have own space ideal. Views of the waves crashing over the sea wall are better than watching the tv. Everything was clean, tidy and in excellent condition. Quiet location (though we were there in March when caravan site practically empty)
- Mrs Peters, March 2019Mr Rehman “Almost perfect family experience.”
Had amazing time with family. The facilities in the house were beyond expectations. More then one can imagine. The comfort and relaxation in the house was amazing. Also the views are to be seen to be believed. Just amazing time. Don't think twice to book it. just go ahead and book. You will be having a great experience.
- Mr Rehman, November 2018Mrs Bolton-bateman “What can I say that hasn't been said already.”
Beautiful house, I was lost for words as we entered the house. Myself, my husband and our little dog had a fantastic time over 4 nights. Everything we could of needed, I had a mishap with a drawer but it was rectified within minutes, it was beautifully decorated and well laid out. We were lucky to be able to use both the upstairs decked balcony and the downstairs one with our little dog who was completely safe and secure. We were close enough to walk to the town, could see and walk to the sea.. A credit to whoever put the whole house together. It was absolutely bliss and we certainly recommend it... I just wish we stayed longer but we WILL be back.
- Mrs Bolton-bateman, September 2018Mr Lintin “Exceptional throughout, the cleanliness and ultra modern decor were fantastic.”
Really well thought out to make the property suitable for all types of families and made excellent use of the sea view by turning the usual downstairs upstairs for everyone’s enjoyment. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be returning in the future.
- Mr Lintin, September 2018Mr Lane “Had a great break at this beautiful, amazing house which is very spacious , warm and comfortable .”
Ideal location for both town and beach . Highly recommended and Owners close by and very helpful. Will be back in the near future.
- Mr Lane, September 2018Mr Harrison “We spent a wonderful few days in Gwel yr Haul.”
The house was very well furnished and spotlessly clean. It's location near Barmouth and a short walk from the beach is ideal. The campsite and caravan park it is located within are very well run and maintained by very friendly and helpful staff. It felt like they really wanted to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible. My stayed for a few wet days in September so didn't get to enjoy the balcony, but it looked very appealing for a summer's evening. The property is well sound-proofed, and the occasional train passing by did not disturb us. Our 3 year old had a great time, and was very upset to have to leave!
- Mr Harrison, September 2018The property
This stunning detached property is located on the award-winning Hendre Mynach camping and caravan park, which is a family and couples-friendly campsite, just 100 metres from Barmouth Beach in North West Wales, and on the new ‘Wales Coast Path’ and Cycle Route 8.
This beautiful and immaculately presented property has been well thought out and designed by the owners with families of all generations in mind, and is just perfect for a family seaside holiday.
Arranged over two floors, the property has an upside-down layout with three spacious bedrooms on the ground floor, all with super king-size beds which are zip/link and so can be made up as twins for flexible sleeping arrangements.
The main bedroom is a family room with an additional single bed and pull-out guest bed, as well as a wonderful en-suite bathroom.
There is also a ground floor wet room and the beautiful oak and polished steel staircase complete with a very handy slimline stairlift; so if any members of the family have mobility issues then this is just ideal.
Upstairs is a wonderful place to spend quality time together.
Naturally divided into areas for all the family is the main sitting area, which has a large, wall mounted Smart TV and a contemporary gas fire - a perfect place to relax and watch a family movie together.
A second sitting area with cuddle couch, Smart TV and Xbox is great for the kids and there is even an intimate corner with lots of reading material if you just want to read a book quietly.
There is a well-appointed fitted kitchen area with integrated appliances and breakfast bar, and a more formal dining area for sit down family meals.
Three sets of patio doors open out onto a stunning, full-length smoked glass balcony, ideal for alfresco dining or simply a wonderful tranquil place to sit and relax after a long day walking on the mountains or a day on the beach.
Here you can enjoy those long summer evenings, enjoying the sea views or if the weather is against you, then watching those white horses rolling in from the comfort of indoors is a great way to pass the time.
And if that's not enough, weather permitting there is a lovely enclosed courtyard area to the side with table and chairs and gas BBQ.
This whole area is a perfect for walkers and climbers, and the coastal town of Barmouth with its array of shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, plus its beautiful sandy beach, is only a five-minute drive away, you can even walk from the house, through the site and directly onto Barmouth Promenade.
The site has a small shop and off-licence and there is a children's playground close by, the kids will love it!
The stunning hills around Barmouth offer breath-taking views; a photographer’s paradise.
There are plenty of walks to enjoy, from the gentle, level strolls along the promenade and all the way to Dolgellau on the old railway line, to more challenging climbs including the famous Cadair Idris, and many lesser trodden trails amongst wooded glades and sandy beaches.
This popular area is also ideal for sailing and water sports enthusiasts, as well as providing some of the best mountain biking, with Coed y Brenin, the largest mountain bike trail centre in Wales, being only 12 miles away.
Further afield, explore the stunning architectural gem of Portmeirion, take a historical trip to Harlech Castle with its visitor centre or enjoy the industrial heritage of Blaenau Ffestiniog slateworks, steam railway, Zip World Titan, Zip Caverns or Bounce Below, an underground trampoline.
Gwel yr Haul offers a coastal setting with all the convenience, and its comfortable accommodation provides an ideal getaway for all the family.
