  • "Fabulous location and cottage."

Had everything we needed hosts were very accommodating and friendly and went over and above for our little boy: Peaceful location with the river on your doorstep. It was bigger than I was expecting which was a nice surprise and therefore was bread and wine waiting for us which was lovely. It wouldn’t stop us coming back but I did feel it could have been a little cleaner. I understand it’s a farmhouse on a farm so there’s bound to be evidence of that in terms of cobwebs and spiders but I did feel there could of been slightly more effort into cleaning some of them away. Thanks for having us Sheila and Hugh we would love to come back some day and Our boy did not want to leave.

Tranquil and beautiful with a comfy, well equipped cottage and very friendly hosts. Walks on the doorstep but other places of interest in the area. Ideal for wildlife watching : bats, kites, owls etc.

1 small thing that may effect your choice to stay here is the local pub has been closed since February which means driving out if you don't want to cook.

  • "The cottage was exactly what he had hoped for."

It was cosy, felt like home for the week and in a beautiful location. It is a lovely farm cottage with pretty features. Having the river a stone's throw away down the track was perfect for the kids. The short drive from the main road was lovely and just the kind of roads I enjoy driving. Myself and my partner both managed to enjoy a run from the property, taking in some of the beautiful scenery. It was the ideal base for our week of adventures to Tenby, St David's and New Quay, as well as the Brecon Beacons. We would happily stay here again.

  • "We had a wonderful holiday and owner Sheila is an absolute gem!"

!! We were welcomed with wine and freshly baked bread! Sheila filled us in about places to visit and we thoroughly enjoyed driving through the beautiful Welsh countryside and to make things even better, we had no rain! Unfortunately we were unable to go walking due to physical problems but walking would have added to this already perfect holiday let. We strongly recommend it for anyone wanting some peace and quiet.

  • "We did not realise that we were going to stay with Huw and Sheila until just the day before and were very please when we knew because we have been friends for a number of years now."

It was the location that decided where we stayed because we were having extensive building works done on our house and could not be at home whilst the it was done. Hence the cottage as our temporary home. Excellent property and facilities and Huw and Sheila had no control over the sub-zero temperature we had across Mid Wales at the time! Many thanks to both of them from very grateful guests.

One room which doubles as kitchen, utility, living and dining room. Not suitable for Pensioners or persons of limited mobility. Had to curtail holiday after 30 minutes as wife could not manage the 9 inch risers. No offer of reimbursement, proprietor unhelpful. Generally poor conversion .

Mr & Mrs Davies were very welcoming and helpful, offering advise on local walks and places to visit in the area.
