Oswestry and Welshpool are also within driving distance, the latter being home to the impressive Powis Castle. Over the border you can visit Shrewsbury with its market and beautiful historic buildings, and for those who love to walk there is the Offa’s Dyke Path, not forgetting the many countryside walks you can do from your door.
