  • "One of those where you don't have to worry about anything."

Spotlessly clean, a wonderful, kind host and very comfortable beds. Perfect lounge with large cloth sofas, large widescreen TV with Amazon and Netflix. As many logs as you need for the woodburner plus no internet connection issues! Spectacular gardens with friendly chickens and cat plus a relaxing soundtrack from the birds in the trees. It was our 3 month old baby's first holiday and we are very happy it was here at Eithin Fynydd

  • "Eithin Fynydd is a real gem, characterful and homely, beautifully maintained by Bethan."

The garden too, complete privacy apart from the sheep! We found plenty of nearby activities to keep our family happy - surfing, kayaking, white water rafting, Snowdon … We’d love to come back one day. Thank you Bethan.

  • "Eithin Fynydd is a lovely cottage enjoying absolute quiet and in a beautiful part of Wales."

It is very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. Everything was spotless and the Wifi was reliable. There are great walks nearby, lakes for kayaking, and we enjoyed cycling from Dolgellau to Barmouth on a lovely flat trail.

  • "The Cottage is an amazing location and it’s very remote, which is perfect if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay."

Access is via a well kept track that was no problem for a standard height car. The garden looks beautiful and it well kept and was in full bloom and perfect place to unwind and appreciate the surroundings. We had our morning coffee there which was a relaxing way to start our day. There is plenty of space to accommodate a family or group with 1 bathroom to share. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything we needed was provided for. In all a great experience and one we would recommend.

It has excellent wifi access for anyone wishing to bury themselves in delightful surroundings and work 'from home'. The host is unobtrusive, but is on hand and extremely helpful if needed. I would heartily recommend this holiday stay.

Mrs Wood is unreal she cannot do enough for you, genuine lovely women. Two log fires, tumble dryer, washing machine, very very comfortable beds and the views are stunning. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals or the Town of bala is ten minutes drive with takeaways and Co op shopping at your dispence. The cottage is tucked away but close enough to go and explore North Wales, we took our 4 kids and thier cousin and went out everyday to see something new, great part of the world. Thanks Bethan x

    - in an idyllic setting and the views from every window are all lovely. The owner is so friendly too and made us immediately feel welcome and at home! The cottage had everything we needed and more! It is exceptionally well-presented, clean and comfortable, with lots of extra touches which make it feel so homely. The woodburning stoves were an absolute delight - so cosy at mealtimes and of course wonderful to enjoy in the lounge after a day of adventure. There is lots to see and do around the local area. A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location!

  • "We had a marvellous a week at Eithin Fynydd from the time we arrived and saw the wonderful surroundings and garden until we begrudgingly left at the end of our stay."

This wonderful cottage offers truly comfortable accommodation and every little detail was thought of to make our stay an exceptional retreat from the busy world of 2019. The cottage was originally chosen as it is just of a the famous Mary Jones Walk, a walk which my wife had waited more than thirty year to experience and although she only completed two of the five stages (the walk is more than 25miles) to come back each day to the peace and rest at the cottage was wonderful. The cottage owner lives next door and is a delightful person and is extremely helpful and willing to assist with any concerns, of which we had none. We will look forward to visiting Eithin Fynydd in the future to complete the walk.

The location was perfect as it felt remote and was in a stunning location but not far from Bala lake or the local village. My 2 year old daughter adored the chickens and the cat as did we. The gardens are beautiful with amazing views and feels like a little fairytale. We even saw 3/4 buzzards flying over us one morning which was amazing to watch. will most likely return again.
