  • “Lovely secure area in the garden to let our westie out onto.”

Loved exploring the other part of the garden. Spacious accommodation. Narrow lane to get to it but plenty of passing places. You can meet tractors and lorries going to the nursery.

The property

Positioned just outside the thriving town of Welshpool, with stunning countryside walks from the door and access to many local attractions nearby, is Brook Cottage.

This detached former farmhouse is set on a hillside overlooking a glittering stream, with small lakes, and a large, enclosed garden making the most of a peaceful setting.

It is well-presented throughout, with a country-cottage feel and spacious rooms welcoming you to share a memorable break together.

Enter via the utility/boot room, where you can store your coats and boots.

The living room wraps itself around one side of the house, with panoramic picture windows filled with wildlife scenes of the surrounding woodland.

Choose from various seating arrangements to relax and take in the tranquil atmosphere.

There is even a pool table tucked around the corner awaiting an afternoon of competitive games.

A small lounge further inside offers the perfect spot for watching TV after an adventure-filled day.

The kitchen is attached to the sociable dining area, with a contemporary set of units presented in a U-shape, integrated with useful appliances including a dishwasher and microwave.

Gather for a delicious meal and discuss events from the day.

There are three bedrooms upstairs, followed by a bathroom and a further shower room on ground level.

Outside is a lovely, mature garden with views over woodland and a patio area for soaking up the sun.

It is fully enclosed, making it safe for children and pets.

Journey on a pleasant, off-road walk into the town, with pubs, the National Trust's Powis Castle and Garden and some quality restaurants.

The famous Glen Dowyer walkway is reachable up the no through road, offering a very peaceful location, on the grounds of a well-known, 40-year-old plant nursery.

During summer you can take the family on a lovely cruise along the Montgomery canal and rain or shine, enjoy the Glyndwr's Way Pathway, with many picturesque trails.

A glorious retreat for your next holiday in Wales.
