  • "We stayed at Brookside for 4 nights & loved the accommodation."

The location is great with fantastic countryside views. The garden is private & enclosed which was great for our dog. The hot tub was great, clean & well maintained & we would have spent more time in the garden if the weather was better as it was so nice with a large outdoor table & even a portable badminton net for those summer days. We used the log burner as we had some cold nights which made our evenings cosy, the tv provided has all needed channels & apps. The kitchen could do with some updating & new pans needed. The bedrooms are all a good size & beds comfortable. The annex is rather small & the games room/pool table could do with some updating. Chris was a great host, there was milk, coffee & tea provided & Chris met us shortly after our arrival to go through everything & gave his contact number for any questions or help needed. We would happily stay again at Brookside!

  • "5 of us stayed at Brookside house for 7 nights it was perfect."

The house was very clean and comfortable, it was great having the pool table and hot tub which was made better by having lights and a pergola over it. Stunning Welsh views all round. Chris was fantastic, he was very discreet coming every morning to sort the hot tub and very welcoming when we first arrived and throughout the stay. Can't wait to book again!

The house is well equipped & there's loads of room, there were 5 adults & 3 teenagers. The beds were very comfortable. Chris kept the hot tub in great condition & wasn't intrusive at all. He was quick to answer any questions we had. The Alexa was a nice touch. A great place, we would definitely recommend

  • "Could not fault the house at all !"

Absolutely perfect. Beautiful scenery and in the best location for a relaxing weekend away. House is gorgeous and definitely worth a revisit, only issue we found was that the owner didn’t trust us as guests, constantly checking in and messing with the hot tub. We would have appreciated a bit more privacy

  • "From speaking to the owner before arriving to arrange keys, to being met shortly after arrival (he gave us time to settle in) it was a very warm and welcoming greeting."

Didn’t need to ask for anything really, but when I did the response was quick and brought to us promptly. Stopped by on departure to check if we enjoyed our stay which we really did and wished a safe journey, a lovely host. Will definitely book again, a great base for exploring a lovely part of the country. Geraint

  • "Just got back from a week stay here and it was everything we hoped for."

A lovely secluded place, well furnished and Extremely comfortable beds! Owner was fantastic, wasn't invasive but was available for any needs and kept Hottub/Grounds in excellent condition. Will definitely consider booking Brookside again for our next UK getaway. With Covid restrictions we didn't really test what the local town/activities had to offer but there is a pub within a 5 minute walk which is worth noting. Nearest shop is a 10 minute drive.

  • "Well what can I say."

...our family (6 adults 4 children) have just had the most amazing weeks holiday at Brookside and I wish we were back there now! The house is absolutely beautiful, all the bedrooms are gorgeous and the annex with the games room gave it an extra special touch. The grounds are beautiful with a babbling brook at the bottom of the garden, a large hot tub that was delightful, and even a badminton net and rackets to keep us entertained. There was more than enough space for the 10 of us to make sure we didn’t get under each other’s feet. Ultra modern and all the facilities and equipment you could need. The area is gorgeous! It’s not a ‘touristy’ town.....which we loved. So quaint and quiet, locals were all incredibly friendly (we were even given some onions by a local lady who grew veg in her garden!) and the local pub ‘the red lion’ was ultra friendly and we had a great Sunday lunch there, highly recommend. We had some great days out at the beach (40 mins drive away but well worth it) and on local rowing boats....all of which we wouldn’t have known about if it wasn’t for Chris the owner of the property who is the nicest and most helpful guy you could ever wish to meet! Nothing at all was too much for him. He was there every morning to refresh the hot tub and ask us if there was anything we needed. He supplied wood for the fire and gave us so many ideas of things to do and places to go. He’s by far the most attentive and helpful holiday home owner we have ever met (and we do a lot of UK breaks!). You will not be disappointed if you book Brookside. It’s a beautiful, amazingly equipped property, in a gorgeous part of the world with very friendly people and lots to do not too far away. Thanks Chris for the best UK holiday we have ever had! Hope to see you soon. The Hoole Family xx

The location and cottage was perfect and had everything we needed, including a hot tub and games room (which the kids thoroughly enjoyed). Chris, the owner, was so helpful and could not do enough to make sure that we had an enjoyable holiday. The cottage is located in stunning surroundings and we made the most of the amazing weather by getting out and about for gorgeous walks with breathtaking scenery and views. I cannot wait to go back again!

  • "Just had 5 days at Brookside the house was lovely the owner gave us information about the area."

He was very friendly, the bedrooms were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable. On arrival there was a loaf of bread, some welsh cakes and a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely touch. The hot tub was amazing and was checked each morning by the owner. The garden was a hit with the children it was big enough for them to run around and play games in. There were boxed games provided in the house along with many cookbooks. I would not hesitate to return to this property again for another break away.

  • "We were staying at brookside for 7 nights."

We loved the vila, which has been great experience, especially jacuzzi. There were no problems with the house. It was a very nice calm area and the kids loved it. The owner was very nice and cleaned the jacuzzi every morning and checked if it was fine. We were the first customers at this property, so its still lacking some TL's, larger pots, some comfy blankets for the living room. But other than that everything else were great. I would recommend it as a calm holiday. We visited snowdonia which was 77 miles away but it took 2 hours due to the roads. the closest beach is around 40 minutes. The owner recommended the Victoria Inn restaurant but we weren't able to go due to the weather. We went to Llanidloes where we got a very nice food at Evans fish and chips as well as nice fresh fish at Great Oak Street. Although if there is bad weather you will not find a lot as much of it is out in the open. You can fish and walk around Clywedog Reservoir as it has nice views. You can walk around the hills and woods for those who would enjoy it. The owners hospitality was incredible, gave us many tips were to go and eat as well as looking after our needs for the whole stay! Would definitely recommend!
