  • "Surprised at the overall tired appearance of the apartment which was described as 4."

9 star and outstanding. Although the sea views were excellent, the general condition is in need of an upgrade to merit the star rating awarded. Details such as the smelly duvet, old towels, cobwebs and the shower running cold need attention. Luckily the car park was not fully occupied otherwise it would have been difficult to park. The over all appearance of the apartment block and surrounding area can best be described as shabby. When was it last inspected? Sorry but this property was not the standard we had hoped for.

Comments noted. Duvet replaced, although having checked, comments about the one provided being very smelly are totally unfounded. The shower is supplied by a combination boiler, so it might take a while to warm up and as is the case with these type of systems and might be affected by taps being opened etc whilst in use. The apartment is checked over regularly for cleanliness by us as owners and the odd cobweb might be missed. The towels will be replaced. There is a dedicated parking spot for the apartment. I don’t think it’s fair to comment on what might happen. The 4.9 rating is calculated from the scores that guests have given the property. The guests who stayed the week before you scored it as 5.0. We can’t be responsible for things outside of control such as the ‘shabby’ nature of the area. It’s a shame that you couldn’t find anything positive during your stay given the stunning weather and a very reasonable price for your accommodation. Thanks for your comments, Paul and Marie Property Owner

  • "We loved our stay."

We had a friendly welcome by Alwenna to get the key (and some chocolates, Thank you!). The apartment was clean and contained everything we may need like pans and plates, silverware and bags. The location is amazing and we woke up with the sea view everyday. We felt safe and the area was very peaceful. It was handy to have our own car parking spot too. The only slight negative was the building itself could do with some care and fixing up, and cleaning too. It wasn't really a problem because the lift and stairs were fine and then getting into the apartment it was clean and well maintained unlike the building. We also looked at the sauna and steam room, they looked clean themselves, but the changing rooms were a bit sad. Overall this slight negative was not a problem for us, we very much enjoyed our stay and loved the apartment, just a shame that the main building doesn't seem as loved as the apartment. Thank you! We would absolutely love to come back one day and will be recommending the apartment :)

Thank you for all your positive comments…it’s always nice to hear. The exterior of the building has had extensive renovation works completed over recent years and this work is ongoing. However it is exposed to the full force of the Irish Sea and it is an expensive and difficult task to keep it looking nice. Regarding the communal sauna and steam room, we don’t have any control over the cleanliness and condition so we choose not to mention those in our description of the apartment. Guests who choose to use them do so at their own risk. Kind Regards Property Owner

It was clean and tidy and had everything we required for a perfect stay. Loved the view from both balconies and it was literally a couple of minutes walk to the sea front. Parking was good and each apartment has its own designated space. The apartment block was quiet which was good. Myself, husband, daughter and her boyfriend enjoyed every minute of our holiday. We definitely recommend a stay here and will hopefully visit again in the future.

The apartment is in an ideal location for the Llyn peninsula giving easy access to so many places of interest. We enjoyed Portmeirion Village, Abersoch, the Blaenau Ffestiniog railway and many more attractions. The apartment was well equipped and good value for money. My only suggestions for making it better would to give a little more focus to cleaning and to put a new mattress on the double bed in the back bedroom to replace the old mattress with the piece of foam sponge covering it. Overall an enjoyable holiday.

The lift to the property was great bonus! View from the bedroom and lounge was great even on a dull day you can watch the waves!! We had a great week at 12 View Point only points to note were the bed is a queen and a bit small for two “big” people, the fire alarm went off twice in the early hours 4-5 am during our stay. The intercom system didn’t work so we had to use mobiles to contact each other as only one set of keys. You need to book early if you want to eat out in Pwllheli as everywhere was fully booked!!

  • "It is a very comfortable and clean apartment with beautiful sea views."

The apartment is well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. There are lot's of little seaside touches around the apartment which compliment the beachy vibe. We liked to sleep with the balcony doors open so we could listen to the waves. The only real negatives are en-suite shower which could do with the tiles being re-grouted as lots of black marks in between the tiles and where the bottom of the screen meets the shower tray which was off-putting. The main bathroom is quite tired looking as well. If the bathrooms were refurbished I'd say that this would feel more like a luxury apartment. The town of Pwllheli itself doesn't have a huge amount going on although there is a weekly market. The beach is very rocky but good for an evening stroll. It's a great base to discover North Wales. We highly recommend Portmeirion and Abersoch Town and beach. All in all our family of 4 had a great stay for our first visit to Wales. Shame the indoor pool, sauna & gym were not accessible due to COVID-19 restrictions.
