The location, views and general accommodation was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. The lady who met us was very polite and helpful. It failed to meet expectations on the following grounds: Cleanliness - some of the beds did not have mattress protectors or pillow protectors on them. Those that did, the mattress/pillow protectors were dirty with obvious signs of bodily fluids. The dishwasher needed cleaning in order that it work properly The hoover was also in need of emptying in order that it be effective. The electrics on the second floor - the lighting did not work. We were warned that this was an issue, but that the electrician had been out and had hopefully sorted the issue. While there, the electrician came out a further two times, the issue with the lighting remained, with no lighting in the two main bedrooms and on-suite bathrooms. This left us with one, usable bathroom after it went dark for 8 people. Many of the lamps in the bedrooms and lounge did not work - missing bulbs. The electrician bought bulbs for the lamps in the second floor bedrooms to help alleviate the lack of main lighting Curtains in the lounge are dirty. There are blinds missing from some windows, with some that are in place not working. The range - gas hob, two of the five burners do not work. The temperature indicators for the ovens are virtually none existent and so made using them difficult. Apart from the electrics - which was a big issue - and the dirty bedding as described - the rest are minor irritations, but if put right would elevate this property and really give guests the wow factor. The sauna, steam-room and swimming pool were a bonus and enjoyed. Clearer instructions on how to use the sauna and steam room would have been useful.
