"No we had another good holiday buses no 19 and 201 at bottom of road took you into town no15 round at shops takes you to town plus down to beach,we found 15 better as daughter in wheelchair was easier to walkdown to flat ."

The house was a great base to explore the area. Was nice to come back to after being out and about. A large spacious house with all you needed. It was on a handsome street but only a short distance to local amenities and a short drive to the main parts of the city. All in all we had a great stay with plenty to see and explore in Aberdeenshire.

I had to cancel the holiday when the Scottish goverment banned travel to and from Bolton. Sykes re-instated it, even though I could not legally go. Sykes have effectively called me a liar on several occasions and not accepted my valid request for a refund.

Aberdeen is a city in northeast Scotland. The city has been dwelled in for at least 8,000 years, it began as two separate burghs: Old Aberdeen and New Aberdeen, where the Denburn waterway entered the river Dee estuary. During the Wars of Scottish Independence, Aberdeen was under English rule, so Robert the Bruce laid siege to Aberdeen Castle before destroying it in 1308, followed by the massacring of the English garrison. The city was burned by Edward III of England in 1336, but was rebuilt and extended. The city was strongly fortified to prevent attacks by neighbouring lords, but the gates were removed by 1770. The traditional shopping streets are Union Street and George Street, now complemented by shopping centres, most notably the Bon Accord & St Nicholas and the Trinity Shopping Centre. Aberdeen has long been famous for its 45 parks and gardens, and citywide floral displays which include two million roses, eleven million daffodils and three million crocuses.
