The owners are friendly and welcoming and have thought of everything to ensure guests have a comfortable stay. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, and the home-baked biscuits were amazing. For wildlife enthusiasts, there's plenty of feathered and furry visitors to the feeding stations located in the garden. We spotted Kingfishers, Red Squirrel, and Pine Marten's. We loved this property so much, we have rebooked.

Thank you so very much Vicky and David for your extremely kind comments. Simon and I try very hard to make your stay both memorable and relaxing. We love Culreach too. It matters, and your enjoyment matters. Stay safe and we'll see you later this year. Lynne and Simon Property Owner

  • "We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful lodge."

It’s in a fabulous location - close to amenities but peaceful and very quiet. The highlight for us was the constant visitors to the bird table (including two woodpeckers) who kept us entertained! The view from the lodge is fabulous - we had snow during our stay which added to the beauty. Lynn (the owner) provided a goodie basket for us which was just delicious. The lodge is extremely comfortable and very warm. You really could just spend your time watching the wildlife - the hours would fly by! There are woods at the back of the property which we were allowed to walk in. We decided to have a walk in the woods at night which was eerie and beautiful (looking at the stars through the trees). The cafe at Nethy Bridge is very welcoming to visitors and the cakes are delicious. We genuinely did not want to leave the lodge. Highly recommended - go ahead and book, you will not be disappointed!

  • "The most wonderful accommodation in the most beautiful setting."

The property is set back from the road surrounded by lawns, trees and shrubs, a secluded paradise in our opinion. There are forest walks in every direction. The lobby as you enter is a great space for taking off muddy boots and drying the dog if you have one. The washing machine and dryer are also there so no noise in the living area. The living area is open plan so is a very sociable and spacious space. The log burner is a great size, easy to light and keeps the whole place cosy, the starter basket of logs is huge. The bedrooms are all spacious with large mirrored wardrobe's (2 with dressing tables incorporated) and super comfy huge beds. I bedroom has an en suite, but we chose the bedroom with the bird feeder outside of the window. The property is spotlessly clean and everything you could imagine is provided. This is by far the best property we have stayed in and we have already booked to go back. Lynne and Simon are wonderful hosts and really do go above and beyond to make you feel special and to make sure you have the best holiday, the welcome pack is absolutely delicious, such a treat after an 11 hour drive. Like us Lynne and Simon are wildlife lovers and the bird feeders were full, Lynne had even made a fat cake for the bird table and boy do they get eaten quickly. We saw so many birds, long tailed tits, blue tits, coal tits, woodpeckers, Robins, blackbirds the list goes on, also red squirrels and even a Pine Martin. We felt very lucky. Absolutely 12 out of 10 from us.

Lynne and Simon the owners have thought of everything anyone would ever need whilst on holiday. The kitchen is modern and functional, the living room is huge with a large dining area and lovely comfortable sofas and vast windows that look out onto beautiful views. And there is a log burner!! Red squirrels are regular visitors to the bird feed area, as well as a great number of birds, and if you are lucky, as we were, Pine martins appear at dusk. ). The Lodge is in a beautiful, quiet area with spacious grounds which allowed our two dogs to run around and enjoy also. Lots of visiting birds in the garden and a huge woodland to the rear of the property to explore too (but beware of the Ticks on your dogs that were prevelant around the bracken at that time we went!). The lodge has been recently refurbished with modern fittings, a real home from home feel with pretty much everything we needed which made for a memorable and enjoyable stay. A small magnified make up mirror at the dressing table would have been useful (for the shortsighted like me!) but there was plenty of large mirrors to use and it wasn't a necessity. The bed was super comfy and the shower was a good pressure with an adjustable temperature. We were 5 minutes by car to Nethy Bridge, 10 minutes to Grantown-on-Spey and 25 minutes to the larger town of Aviemore. Lots to explore around the area and beyond and we used the A-Z atlas of Scotland that Lynne & Simon had left amongst other literature to use whilst staying there. On returning later at night after long days out, it was difficult to locate the entrance without any lights or reflectors on the gate but we judged it right most of the time and only missed the turning on one occasion!
