The property

Aboyne is a two-storey, detached cottage located in Forres, Moray.

The property is on a new estate and has been decorated to a high-quality contemporary style with many comfortable furnishings.

It is perfect for both friends and families to enjoy the wonderful comforts of this house and the local sights of Scotland.

Inside it has four excellent bedrooms: one king-size with an en-suite shower room and WC, two doubles and one twin.

There is a large family bathroom and WC.

Downstairs has an open-plan kitchen and dining room with seating for up to eight, as well as a pair of large French doors which open up to the rear garden.

There is a spacious living room with two cosy sofas and an armchair offering seating six with additional bench seating as shown in the above pictures, as well as a TV with Sky for your entertainment.

It has a ground floor cloakroom and WC.

Off road parking is available for two cars.

Outside has a front and rear lawned garden, with patio areas and furniture provided.

Forres is a fantastic holiday destination; there are lots of grand sightseeing opportunities, including Brodie Castle, a restored 16th century castle and gardens with Clan Brodie collection of antiques, art and ceramics.

Or visit Sueno's Stone, a Picto-Scottish Class III standing stone on the north-easterly edge of Forres.

It is the largest surviving Pictish stone of its type in Scotland.

Not to forget the magnificent Kinloss Abbey, which was founded in 1150 by King David I.

Aboyne is the perfect spot for those interested in historical landmarks.

The pretty town of Forres is one of Scotland's oldest small towns and boasts an array of historical monuments, museums and castles, as well as impressive parks and award winning gardens. Forres is an ideal starting point for exploring the Malt Whisky Trail being home to two of the Distilleries, and in close proximity to another five! Forres boasts two golf courses and some excellent fishing opportunities. Ideally placed for visiting the atmospheric fishing villages that are dotted along the north east coastline and just twenty seven miles from the capital of the Highlands, Inverness, it is a great base for a holiday. You can immerse yourself in history with Cawdor and Brodie Castles, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George all within easy reach. Alternatively you can spend time at Findhorn enjoying the beach and looking for seals or a days watersports finishing with a drink overlooking the bay whilst the sun goes down. A five minute drive from Forres will take you to Califer Hill Viewpoint, providing stunning views across the Moray Firth, Findhorn and beyond.
