The property

Centrally situated in the pretty fishing village of Lossiemouth is this utterly charming semi-detached stone cottage, presented to a high standard with lots of attention to detail and thoughtful extras.

Wickie Cottage is ideal for a family or group of friends who want to explore the beautiful north east coastline and return to a welcoming cottage at the end of an active day.

With a tasteful nautical theme throughout, there is a fabulous sitting room with cosy woodburner that leads off to both the dining area and the well-equipped kitchen.

The ultra-modern shower room is on the ground floor along with the double en-suite bedroom.

A quirky design provides access up from the bedroom to a large utility/boot room area that gives direct access out into the pretty rear garden.

The first floor has two attractive bedrooms with the nautical theme continuing here.

In the summer time the rear enclosed garden with its patio area and pizza oven provide a wonderful venue for outside dining with homemade pizzas allowing everyone their favourite topping!

Lossiemouth boasts a spectacular long sandy beach ideal for young and old and the busy marina with its welcoming cafes and little shops give the village a special seaside atmosphere.

From Lossiemouth so much can be explored, go northwards following the coast and visit many attractive fishing villages or go inland and pick up the famous malt whisky trail, stopping off at the many distilleries along route.

Also both Elgin and Inverness are worth exploring and are great for shopping.

A lovely cottage for a wonderful holiday!

About the location

LOSSIEMOUTH

Elgin 6 miles.

Lossiemouth is known locally as ‘the Riviera of the north’ because of its location, which benefits from the effects of the Gulf Stream and therefore has a temperate climate. Situated on Scotland’s north east coast, Lossiemouth is a perfect holiday destination as it not only boasts a very rich and interesting history with lots of visitor attractions but is also perfectly located to offer a wide choice of outdoor pursuits. The town itself has a surprisingly good selection of shops, hotels, pubs and restaurants and its wonderful coastal location means that the sea is always lapping away in the background. A walk along the coastal road is a refreshing and exhilarating experience as is a round of golf on the course located beside the shoreline. If you like being out on the water then you can choose to go fishing or perhaps dolphin watching on one of the many boat trips available. West Beach is a beach that stretches for 3 miles, beside the famous Covesea Lighthouse and this area is a windsurfers dream. For hill walkers and cyclists there are many trails and routes to follow and along the way you will notice the wildlife all around you. The north east coast has many charming fishing villages and a short drive from one will lead you along to the next, each with its own history and atmosphere. Whether your choice of holiday is in the history, outdoor pursuits, wildlife, touring or simply relaxing, it is all here in bucket loads!
