“A lovely cottage in a very peaceful place, and the hosts were wonderful.”

Even a little seasonal snow to make the views complete.

About the property

Dufftown 7.2 miles.

This charming mid-terrace cottage forms part of a stunning church conversion and is situated in a quiet and very beautiful highland glen close to the town of Dufftown.

The cottage is ideal for couples who want to enjoy a romantic break in the scenic tranquillity of the area.

Situated next door to the owner’s own home, this cottage offers complete privacy and allows guests to enjoy the fantastic elevated views from their own private decked area.

Finished to an exacting standard the interior oozes style and taste, whilst ensuring that every possible comfort is provided.

There is a well-equipped fitted kitchen where you can prepare lovely meals to be enjoyed in the dining area of the sitting room and then relax in front of the welcoming woodburner.

A spiral staircase gives access to the sumptuous upper floor bedroom where quality bed linen ensures a wonderful night’s sleep for all!

To complete the accommodation there is a contemporary shower room on the lower ground floor.

It may be hard to leave your holiday cottage, but when you do you will marvel at the area known as The Cabrach, which is one of the most remote areas on mainland Scotland, and most certainly an area of unspoilt beauty.

Although away from it all, there is much to do and see in the area and the world-renowned Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown is just a short 10 minute drive away.

The Distillery is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Moray, with its factory tour and tasting, its shop and great restaurant.

For walkers and wildlife lovers this is a wonderful location, so remember to have your camera close by!

This is a really special holiday retreat in a beautiful location.

About the location

Elgin 20 miles; Aviemore 46 miles; Aberdeen 50 miles: Inverness 56 miles.

Dufftown is situated in the heart of Speyside in north east Scotland and is a thriving and lively small town. It is also right on the Malt Whisky Trail and the old saying goes, “Rome was built on seven hills, Dufftown stands on seven stills”. There are now nine distilleries in the area so a spot of whisky tasting is a must, unless you are the driver of course! Apart from the distilleries it is easy to access the world famous salmon fishing of the Strathspey area and permits can be obtained locally. Dufftown has an 18-hole golf course complete with breathtaking scenery and guests are made very welcome. In the winter months staying in the area provides great value for skiers and snowboarders as it is only a 50 minute drive to the Lecht ski slopes and Aviemore is an hour or so away, plus The Cabrach is a ‘Dark Sky Designated Area’ which is ideal for astronomers.
