  • "Great place to relax, very clean house, kitchen equipped with everything you need (we had many things with us that were already there), fresh bedding and towels, attention to the greatest details, TV, well-kept garden, great hot tub, great location two minutes walk to the sea, the house is located between other houses but it is very quiet and no one bothers anyone, a small local ice cream shop which is two steps away as well as a place with takeaway Chinese food (very good), I also think that the rental price was appropriate and even competitive."

We highly recommend it for families or just to come with friends to rest from the hustle and bustle of the city, I think we will come back here again.

It was perfectly equipped with everything you need and spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was so kind and had all the essentials. Communication with the hosts was polite and professional and they helped with all our queries. Location was lovely and we visited many places both far and near. Hot tub was bliss and a welcome retreat after long walks in Scotland. We will definitely be back to visit again. Recommend the Prison visit, Light house tour and the local beaches were simply beautiful. Thanks Sue & Ann

  • "The Fisherman’s Cottage - the perfect property in the perfect village with the most thoughtful hosts!"

The house is a perfect mix between classic and contemporary design with incredible amenities such as a very large garden, modern décor, outdoor lounge area and a hot tub! The picturesque seaside is a stones throw away offering stunning views and beautiful, sandy beaches and dunes. A round or two of golf was also enjoyed at the local Inverallochy Golf Club with the club house a mere five minute walk away. The town of Fraserburgh is only a few minutes drive from the village and has plenty of shops and local businesses to keep you well stocked and fed. Since 2022, we have returned to the Fisherman’s Cottage on three separate occasions and look forward to many more!

  • "What a fantastic holiday home."

The property was immaculate and had everything that anyone could want for a short break. We were greeted on arrival with a welcome pack of bread, milk, wine, tea, coffee, fresh fruit etc which was unexpected but very welcome. Lovely enclosed garden with a large covered hot tub (towels provided) and garden furniture. Set in the peaceful village of Inverallochy it was exactly what we were looking for and within easy reach of the golden beach at Fraserburgh. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property for anyone looking for a relaxing chill out break.

  • "Fisherman's Cottage is a beautifully appointed property with everything you could need for a short stay."

The standard of furnishings is excellent and lead to a cosy stay. It was lovely to have a welcome food package of the essentials. The cottage has bed space for 6 people although the sitting room would be a bit cramped with 6 people...as we were only 3 people then it was perfect. The cottage is in a lovely village location, a two minute walk from the seashore. The local folks are very friendly and Peter's ice cream shop across the road needs to be visited daily! Delicious.

From the extra touches of the fresh fruit, bubbly, fresh milk and butter to the tea/coffee facilities and oil/spices (we were just delighted.) Amazing shower, bath, and amenities. The tv also - wow!! The house was SO clean, they provided us with a highchair and travel cot, and overall we couldn't have been happier. The location, the hot tub, the enclosed garden - just amazing! We will definitely be back again. The hosts are the best and make sure that your visit is flawless and easy. They also contact you prior to make sure everything you have is included. We couldn't have asked or wished for a better holiday getaway! We look forward to staying again.

  • "We had a fantastic week at Fisherman's cottage."

Thank you Vicky and Aaron for the welcome package of fresh fruit, bread, butter, milk and a bottle of something for the hot tub :) The cottage is exceptionally well fitted out to a high quality with all the mod cons and home comforts, and was spotlessly clean. We loved the huge TV and it was so nice to be able to relax and watch films in what felt like our own private cinema! The hot tub is also one of the biggest we have ever seen. We loved exploring the local area - amazing beaches and quiet fishing villages with hardly anyone around. Our top highlight was the little local ice cream shop - Peters - in the street next to the cottage: amazing homemade ice cream with different flavours every day. It's easy to see why this is a top-rated cottage and we certainly hope to be back again!

It was absolutely beautiful, in a really quiet location and was really cosy. The hot tub was an added bonus. In such a small village, the shops had everything we needed. A large Tesco store is a short drive away. We spent most days walking along the beach. Saw loads of seals towards St Combs. The Captains Table in Fraserburgh is highly recommended for fresh seafood and good, friendly service. They didn't disappoint.

  • "We had a lovely holiday at Fisherman’s Cottage."

The cottage has a lovely layout with 3 large bedrooms and large bathroom. The kitchen is small but had all the appliances and utensils we required. It is really well thought out and equipped. There was even cupboard space to put food away etc and a full size dishwasher and washing machine. I was really pleasantly surprised with the kitchen. The whole cottage has a lovely layout and modern feel. The beds were very comfy and the shower is very good and powerful. The cottage was clean and well presented. The hot tub was a bonus! And a good sized garden with garden furniture. It is so close to the sea which was amazing. We enjoyed many walks along the quiet, beautiful beaches watching the seals. In the village there is a local shop, which is handy. There is also an ice cream shop and Chinese takeaway which we tried and can highly recommend. There are large supermarkets and other amenities close in Fraserburgh. If you are looking to explore this area in Scotland this is the perfect place to stay!

About the location

FRASERBURGH

Peterhead 17 miles; Portsoy 33 miles; Aberdeen 40 miles.

Fraserburgh is situated just along the north east coast from Aberdeen and borders the mouth of the Moray Firth. Whilst it is still a busy fishing port the number of boats has decreased dramatically over the years, although todays boats are far bigger than they were in bygone days. The town itself is a real community with a strong Football team and impressive 18 hole golf course, the 7th oldest club in the world believe it not, established in 1777. With its modern clubhouse vistors are most welcome and can enjoy the bar, dining room and lounge areas that overlook the course and sand dunes. The mueseum of Scottish Liighthouses is based in Fraserburgh and is well worth a visit and gives a real insight to the history of the Lighthouses in the north of Scotland. Fraserburgh is a beautiful seaside town with a rich history and an award winning beach. Inverallochy 18 hole golf course is within walking distance of Fraserburgh. Nearby is the RSPB Loch of Strathbeg which is one of the best places for wildlife in the UK as well as Aden Country Park within easy reach with 230 acres of parkland to enjoy.
