    “The Bothy was a totally magical place.”

    Surprisingly warm and cosy, views to die for and wonderful walks all round. So quiet and peaceful and amazing wildlife right outside the door including red squirrels - wish we could have stayed for longer.

Colmeallie Cottages

Edzell 7 miles. Situated on a working sheep farm in beautiful Glen Esk, seven miles from the attractive village of Edzell, these two holiday cottages boast stunning, open views. Originally the farmhouse and the shepherd’s bothy, these cottages retain much charm of the traditional farm buildings, and have been thoughtfully decorated to provide couples, families and friends with charming holiday accommodation. Ideally situated for walkers, cyclists, anglers and those in search of a rural getaway, these cottages are also an excellent choice for a tranquil break spent amidst spectacular scenery. With The Farmhouse sleeping up to six people and The Bothy offering cosy accommodation for two, these cottages can accommodate up to eight when booked together. Close to the Grampian Mountains, Esk is the longest of the renowned Angus Glens. Visit the most northerly Neolithic standing stones at Colmeallie, the Folk Museum or hike to the stone monument at the Queen’s Well, a memorial to Queen Victoria, where stunning views await you. These two cottages offer a superb choice for a rural break in a beautiful location.
