"Cottage was lovely very comfortable."
Welcome pack was a very lovely gesture. The Village of Carron itself is very quiet and peaceful plus the Cottage was just yards from the speyside way which was ideal for walking the dog. Would definitely recommend.

"Spacious, comfortable cottage."
Could do with cushions on the dining chairs but that's just a minor niggle. Bed in main bedroom was really comfortable. Good for wildlife - Saw red squirrel, hedgehogs and deer about the garden plus plenty of small birds. Part of the Speyside Way really close to cottage.

"Lovely stay we really enjoyed ourselves but it could of done with a little more heat as it was so cold but overall it was a very pleasant place especially the deer coming into the garden and the red squirrels."
Our daughter especially liked the phone box full of goodies at the bottom of the front garden. We had some lively walks and the people we saw were very friendly.
Thank you for your feedback we are glad you enjoyed your holiday. With regard to needing a little more heat if you stay in future please contact the manager who would be pleased to help. Property Owner

"A beautiful cottage in a lovely location."
Well presented with lots of space. Comfortable beds and living area. Would highly recommend to anyone viewing it to go ahead and book, only reason we can’t book for next year is the changeover day is Friday instead of Saturday so it doesn’t work for our requirements sadly.

"The Spinney was a great place to stay with lots of space."
We felt there were some things that could be done to maximise the space such as the conversion upstairs, however that's just an opinion and not a criticism. The garden was another area we felt was under maximised and although nice to sit in felt more could be done to really make it look 'wow'.
Quite a remote area and not a lot there. The phonebox outside the cottage with snacks in is a lovely quirky addition to the village and the walk to Aberlour 3 miles away is an easy flat route suitablele for bikes.

"House was in a beautiful situation and gave us an excellent base to explore the area."
The garden at the house is large although it could do with a real tidy up. A parasol would be useful for hot sunny days.
Perhaps it would be worth investing in a bigger TV for the lounge for future visitors.

"This was a lovely property, very comfortable and well-appointed - it exceeded our expectations."
The situation was perfect for our needs - both the coast and the Cairngorms National Park were easily accessible and the immediate surroundings were beautiful.
The only minor criticisms (which by no means caused us any problems) were that the mattress in the master bedroom was a bit soft and springy and the garden was a little neglected. However, as I said, this didn’t detract from our stay at all and we would definitely consider going back again.

"Superb location and a lovely home for a holiday break."
Absolutely everything provided your comfort plus a nice welcome pack when you arrive.
Great location for walking and pet friendly. Very close to the Speyside Way - 45 minutes to the town of Aberlour on the Way. Howard, who looks after the property lives nearby and is available for any help/queries. Howard drove over 60 miles on Christmas Eve to collect a replacement glass door for the woodburner when our one cracked - outstanding customer service.
